Winehouse Wants To Play For Mandela
Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse is determined to perform at the June 27-29 Glastonbury festival and former South African president Nelson Mandela’s birthday bash in London’s Hyde Park on June 27.
Winehouse was hospitalised on June 16 after fainting at home. Her family and friends want her to stay at home and pay attention to her health instead of performing at shows.
A spokesperson for the singer said, “Amy still intends to perform next week. But the decision will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors.”
