All eyes were on Jessica Alba at the premiere of Lionsgate and Paramount Vantage’s horror pic “The Eye” at the Cinerama Dome on Thursday night.
“I’ve wanted to work in this genre for a while but I don’t think you need to see someone get mutilated in order to see a good, scary movie,” said Alba, who in addition to fighting off a swarm of paparazzi anxious to photograph the pregnant actress, had to contend with the nasty flu that’s been circulating Hollywood since the Sundance crowd returned.
After-party was held at Social Hollywood where producer Paula Wagner offered her thoughts on the current state of horror.
“The genre is very strong,” she said. “But the types of movies that work within the genre have to constantly reinvent themselves.”
