Jesse Metcalfe Checks into Rehab
Jesse Metcalfe has checked into rehab to be treated for alcoholism.
The “Desperate Housewives” star entered a treatment facility on Monday (Mar 19, 2007) following a four day drinking binge at Los Angeles’ Mondrian hotel.
A representative for Metcalfe said: “On Monday, March 19, Jesse Metcalfe entered a rehab facility to deal with alcohol issues. He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately.”
The actor, best known as the hunky gardener on the ABC show “Desperate Housewives” and the star of the film “John Tucker Must Die,” hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment.
Jesse, who is dating Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, spent four days partying at the Mondrian last week, during which guests said he acted “very angry and out of control.”
A guest told the New York Post newspaper: “He was blacklisted. He had been partying for four days straight last week and being really mean to the staff.”
“Then, on Friday (Mar 16, 2007), he went up at the doorman at Skybar because they wouldn’t let him in. That was the last straw.”
Jesse was refused a guest room on Saturday (Mar 17, 2007) but a hotel representative says he is not officially banned.
