How the Stars Celebrated Celebrated Fourth of July 2012

Whether spending the day with family or fellow celebrity friends, the stars showed that they are full of patriotism with some spotted donning red, white and blue apparel while others took to social networking sites to send their good tidings.

Former Disney starlets Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens proudly showed off their red, white and blue garb while the “High School Musical” actress shared a photo of her manicure with the caption, “im so proud of my patritotic nail art Hehehehe .”

While Matthew McConaughey revealed that he and wife Camila Alves are expecting their third child together, Jessica Alba, Chris Hemsworth, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck all enjoyed their first Independence Day with a new addition to the family.

Always a popular place this time of year, a number of stars beat the heat by spending their afternoons on the beach. The sand ‘n surf crowd included Christina Aguilera, Cam Gigandet, Candice Swanepoel and Heidi Klum, who shared a photo of her svelte body (see here!) accompanied by a “Gorgeous day!” tweet.
