Hollywood Star Kate Bosworth Home In Sydney
SYDNEY is many things to many people, but it makes actress Kate Bosworth feel so “normal” she is poised to make the Harbour city her second home.
The Hollywood star was in Sydney last month to play bridesmaid for her best friend and former assistant Jacqui Louez.
But she has revealed she loves the city so much she will return this month for a magazine fashion shoot and to relax on the beach.
“I just love Sydney. I really do think of it as a second home, even though it’s so far away,” Bosworth, 25, told The Daily Telegraph.
“I think maybe that’s why I love it so much: it’s so far away that it just feels like you step back into some sort of normality.
“I really can’t describe it, but I immediately felt at home. I suppose it was a time in my life that was one of my happiest (on her first visit in 2005).
“It was that kind of magic-bubble moment of stepping into adulthood where everything seems so possible and exciting.”
Bosworth said that when she was last in Sydney, people may have recognised her from films such as the surf flick Blue Crush or Superman Returns, in which she played Lois Lane, but no fuss was made.
“I just feel immediately at home when I’m in Australia. I love the casualness of it and people not taking things too seriously.
“I think that’s what I loved most: people don’t care who you are. They’re just too down-to-earth to be impressed by an actor.”
