Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl may be discharged from Seattle Grace Hospital after her refusal to enter the Emmy race.
Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl has had an eventful week. Earlier, she refused to put her name in for a shot at an Emmy nomination, saying the writers did not give her the material for an Emmy-worthy performance. The material was not a problem last year when Heigl won the Emmy for the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
According to FoxNews.com, there are rumors flying around that Heigl is leaving the hit ABC show. She has agreed to star and produce a movie based on the book, Escape, the true story of Carolyn Jessop, a former member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, who later helped police in their investigation of the polygamist cult and the arrest of leader Warren Jeffs. Many actors take on new film projects during their TV downtime, but many are beginning to wonder if Heigl’s new movie is the beginning of the end of her character, Dr. Isobel Stevens. Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes and her publicist were as tight-lipped about behind-the-scenes politics as they have been in the past.
