Halle Berry Names Daughter Nahla Ariela
Halle Berry has finally chosen a name for her baby girl – Nahla Ariela Aubry.
In an interview with Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell, the 41-year-old actress spoke to about the important task of naming her baby.
“We didn’t have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital,” the actress told Nancy. “For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her.”
Berry gave birth to Nahla on Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Weighing 7 pounds and 4 ounces, the baby is doing great and is now home together with her mother.
Nahla is the first child of the actress and her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. The happy couple met in November 2005 but still have no plans to tie the knot. But in an interview at The Oprah Winfrey Show, Berry confirmed that she and Gabriel are fully committed to each other.
“I feel more married, in a way, than I ever have in two marriages before…He really understands the spiritual connection is so much more important than the paper and the pomp and circumstance and the ceremony.”
