Ellen Page Praises Drew Barrymore
Ellen Page has apparently been heaping praise on Drew Barrymore – who it seems is the director of her next film.
Ellen, who is reported to have signed up to star in Drew’s directorial debut Whip It!, is quoted by Variety as saying: “I really admire how Drew constantly challenges herself as an artist. She’s proven herself as an actress and a producer, and I have no doubt she’ll bring great vision and creativity to the director’s chair. I can’t wait to kick ass on wheels!”.
Drew apparently added: “I’ve been working toward the goal of directing my entire life. Whip It! is a story that really spoke to me.”
The Juno star will apparently play Bliss Cavendar, a Texas teen who decides to join a female roller derby team, annoying her parents who want her to enter beauty pageants.
The 10 million dollar film looks likely to begin shooting in Texas this summer.
