Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is apparently looking forward to making a cameo appearance on US television show Ugly Betty.

The star’s representative said the 21-year-old Mean Girls actress was in talks with the popular show about the appearance.

Asked about the as yet unconfirmed part, Lohan’s publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik said: “She’s totally looking forward to it. She loves the show.”

This month, Victoria Beckham strutted her stuff on the programme – playing a last-minute stand-in for a model who abruptly cancelled an appearance.

Information about the role Lohan is being lined up to play in the show, centred on the cut-throat world of fashion, is yet to be released. The star has had a difficult year, previously checking herself into rehabilitation centres in LA and Utah to recover from her reported problems with alcohol.

Earlier this month Lohan served a prison sentence after admitting to drunk driving and possessing the drug cocaine. She was released only 84 minutes after being put behind bars at the same jail at which Paris Hilton served a 23-day sentence.

The accolades keep coming for America Ferrera. The Emmy-winning star of “Ugly Betty” is now the Hispanic Woman of the Year, the Hollywood Reporter and Billboard announced Thursday.

The publications will honor Ferrera and the 25 most powerful Hispanic women in film, television and music at their inaugural Hispanic Women in Entertainment breakfast at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Tuesday.

Ferrera “is a leader for all women, but especially those in the Hispanic community,” publisher John Kilcullen said in a statement.
He said the 23-year-old actress is “dedicated to advancing the position of Hispanics in television and film.”

“It’s an honor to be in such esteemed company,” Ferrera said in a statement. “And it’s a thrill to see talented women recognized for their work behind the camera.”

Ferrera has won Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild awards for her portrayal of Betty Suarez on the ABC show.
