Cameron Diaz chatted with a few crew members yesterday near her trailer on the Boston set of Wichita, but she was joined on set this afternoon by costar Tom Cruise and his family.

Suri left her high heels at home as she took a behind-the-scenes tour with mom Katie Holmes. Cameron and Tom haven’t worked together since Vanilla Sky in 2001, but they already seem to be falling back into their old friendship — at least judging by their chummy appearance on the Jay Leno Show last week.

Hollywood is aligned like so: Tom Cruise, first; Brad Pitt, second. Tom Cruise, Lestat; Brad Pitt, the other vampire. And so on and so forth. To tinker with the natural order of this star system is to tempt fate, and perhaps make the moon explode.

4. Cruise played a guy named Cole Trickle—and lived well to tell about it. Pitt, meanwhile, nearly got done in, career-wise, by the perfectly normal-sounding Joe Black.

5. Pitt worked with the king of cuss, Quentin Tarantino; Cruise was the king of cuss in Tropic Thunder and, even fouler, Magnolia.

6. The hat that Pitt keeps wearing—the one that’s worse than the Inglourious Mustache mustache—is absolutely uncool. The hair-concious Cruise would never wear that hat, thereby making him, yes, absolutely cool.

7. The Brooke Shields factor. We’ve been liking Shields a lot since she made Michael Jackson seem all-too human at the singer’s memorial service. So, we’re going to take it as a point in Cruise’s favor that, while he briefly feuded with Shields, he made up with her, even extending her an invite to his wedding with Holmes (which she, Shields, accepted). To sum up, if Shields is cool with Cruise, then we’re cool with Cruise.

Katie Holmes was back on the Melbourne set of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark earlier today.

It was the end of a busy work week for the actress, but she didn’t seem be minding the long hours as she laughed with a costar between takes.

Her husband Tom, meanwhile, left Australia after recently taking a cruise with their mutual friend James Packer. He’s back in LA, where he grabbed dinner at Cut last night.

Tom also checked out a Beyonce show at the Staples Center earlier this week. He was apparently spotted rocking out to “Single Ladies,” despite his favorite concert buddy being Down Under.

The Cruises spent their Fourth of July weekend in their new Summer home in Melbourne. Katie started filming Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark on Friday before joining her costar Guy Pearce and 47-year-old birthday boy Tom at an AFL football game that night.

On Sunday Tom and Katie brought Suri to a matinee performance of Jersey Boys where she sang along to her favorite Frankie Valli songs.

While the family is settling in Australia, we’re back in the States eagerly awaiting Katie’s So You Think You Can Dance performance on July 23.

The couple invited their family and closest friends to their Los Angeles home to celebrate Suri turning three.

A source said: “They just wanted to keep it small and make it fun for Suri and her friends.”

As well as sparing no expense on her party, Tom and Katie are spending $1 million on her education.

Tom Cruise has spent $1 million on his two-year-old daughter Suri’s education.

The “Valkyrie” actor and his wife Katie Holmes reportedly want their child – who turns three on April 18 – to have a well-rounded upbringing and have splashed out on classes including foreign language, art and dance.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: “It doesn’t matter what Suri is doing, Tom wants her to be able to do it better than any other child.”

“All parents think their kids are special, but Tom and Katie firmly believe Suri is gifted. She is learning French and Spanish and has a tutor she sees once a week.”

“Suri has shown a real love of dancing, so Tom and Katie are encouraging her as much as possible.”

The source said: “Katie likes to have the Beckham boys around, since they are older. She thinks Suri will emulate what they do and learn even faster.”

Tom is also planning to enroll Suri in classes to improve her musical talents.

The source added: “Piano and violin lessons are on the to-do list. Tom and Katie just have to find time in Suri’s busy schedule!”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are going camping.

The Hollywood couple are planning to take their two-year-old daughter Suri on a budget holiday across the US when Tom finishes promoting his new movie “Valkyrie” at the end of the month.

But while Tom is taking the trip to “bond” with his family, they won’t be alone – a religious adviser and a security team will accompany the trio at all times.

A source said: “They’ll be accompanied by a friend from the Church of Scientology, as Tom never likes to be too far away from his religion. They will also have security camped down the road to keep any unwelcome people at bay.

“They are certainly likely to cause a bit of a frenzy. But the whole point of them moving away from luxury holidays is to do things as a normal family.”

Another source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “This is what Tom wants for Suri. He doesn’t want her to miss out on the things he and Katie enjoyed as kids, just because she is growing up in the spotlight.”

Tom, 46, reportedly started planning the trip when he spent time in the Brazilian jungle while in South America earlier this year.

He and Katie often went camping before the birth of their daughter and can’t wait to spend time in the great outdoors again.

Katie said: “We love the outdoors. Once when we were camping Tom made his pasta carbonara for me.

“He knows exactly how to do it. A pinch of this, a pinch of that. He has a recipe, but he also kind of improvises by himself. You have to do the egg at a certain time.”

But the 30-year-old former “Dawson’s Creek” star admitted she wouldn’t be helping her husband with the campfire cooking.

She said: “I don’t really cook that much, though I do make cupcakes.”

Katie Holmes wants to invite people who are rude about her family to dinner.

The 30-year-old actress – who has two-year-old daughter Suri with her husband Tom Cruise – insists people would retract their horrible remarks if they spent time in her home.

She said: “Sometimes I think I would say, ‘Why don’t you come over and have dinner? See what there is to see.’”

Katie admits she finds it hard when people spread rumors about Suri – shortly after she was born rumors circulated Katie’s pregnancy was an elaborate hoax and that Suri didn’t exist – and is determined to protect her daughter at all costs.

She told America’s Glamour magazine: “Some of the stuff people said was such absolutely horrible things to say about a child. It was so uncalled for and so disgusting. Enough is enough.”

“Tom was supportive. We were changing diapers. He said, ‘I don’t want you to get upset.’ And I said, ‘Well, I am upset.’ So we approached it together.”

“But I definitely felt like – as a woman, as the mother of Suri – I want to handle this! My mom is very strong, and if anyone ever said anything about any of us, she would be, ‘Excuse me? That’s my family!’”

Katie – who has previously admitted she had a crush on Tom, 46, after she saw his 1986 movie “Top Gun” – claims she always knew she would marry the star.

She said: “When ‘Top Gun’ came out, my sisters were like, ‘Oh, my God, ‘Top Gun!’ Tom Cruise!’ And I very confidently said, ‘I’m going to marry him one day.’”

“It wasn’t like, ‘How do I get to Tom Cruise?’ It was just, ‘I think I’m going to marry him. Why not? He’ll like me. I’m fun.’”

The Hollywood actor didn’t realize the national language spoken in Brazil is Portuguese during a recent trip to the country to promote movie “Valkyrie.”

Tom reportedly addressed a press conference in Rio de Janeiro with the Spanish words “hola” (hello) and “gracias” (thank you), according to Brazilian gossip website Glamurama.

As well as getting his languages in a twist, Tom’s knowledge about dancing is also believed to have got him into trouble.

Tom said the tango was one of the reasons he fell in love with Brazil, even though the Latin dance originated in Argentina.

The actor stayed in Brazil’s Copacabana Palace with wife Katie Holmes and their two-year-old daughter Suri, during the trip.

Jennifer Lopez would consider sending her twins to a Scientology school.

The actress-and-singer, whose father is a follower of the bizarre sci-fi cult, insists her seven-month-old twins Max and Emme would benefit from being educated at one of the controversial religion’s centers.

When asked if she would send her children to a Scientology school, Jennifer replied: “Yeah. I wouldn’t mind. Not at all. Because I know that the technologies that they have are very helpful… It’s all about communication.”

“That’s the thing I really don’t like about talking about this. I do know so many great people who choose it as a lifestyle and really follow it and it is their religion… I just wish that people wouldn’t judge it without knowing what it is.”

Although Jennifer has denied she is a Scientologist, the 39-year-old star admits she draws on the religion – which also counts Tom Cruise and Jada Pinkett Smith among its followers – when she is feeling low.

She explained to website The Daily Beast: “I do know a lot about Scientology. And I know about the practices. I know all about what the technology is and it’s very helpful. So in a sense, yeah, you do call on it.”

In June, it was revealed Jada’s husband Will Smith had spent nearly $1 million on a private school that bases some of its education programs on Scientology.

Guy Fawkes was a British Catholic revolutionary who attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. His actions are remembered every November 5 in the UK, known as “Bonfire Night.”

The group, who describe themselves as a “leaderless worldwide group of concerned citizens,” recently staged a protest at the Scientology Center in New York.

They claim the “dangerous cult” of Scientology has “a well-earned reputation for harassing critics and openly critical ex-scientologists at their homes and workplaces.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are reportedly considering starring in new comedy movie ”Food Fight.”

The married couple – who have a two-year-old daughter Suri together – are set to make their first on-screen appearance together in the film, which tells the story of an arrogant New York chef who is forced to cook in a school cafeteria.

Tom is being lined up for the role of the chef, while Katie will play a teacher or member of staff in the cafeteria, according to Chicago Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker.

A source at Universal Pictures, who are in charge of the film which is being scripted by “Definitely, Maybe” writer Adam Brooks, refused to confirm the reports, adding: “That’s news to me!”

Katie Holmes is so fond of husband Tom Cruise’s jeans that she can’t stop wearing them.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” actress has been pairing Tom’s Prps jeans with various T-shirts and vest tops while she is in New York rehearsing for her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s play “All My Sons.”

A source close to the actress said: “It’s the new look Katie is going for.”

The couple’s stylist Jeanne Yang confirmed Katie, 29, has been wearing Tom’s jeans, and a representative for Prps revealed the actress’ unique sense of style has inspired them to release a women’s range of denim this autumn.

Kim Dillard, a representative for the clothing company, said: “Prps has adapted the style for women in the new fall collection as the Boyfriend jean.”

However, Katie has been bringing her own style to the men’s trousers and has been rolling them up because of the height difference between her and Tom.

The magazine wrote: “Suri is well versed in her ABC’s – Armani, Burberry and Christian Louboutin, that is.”

Katie Holmes is rumored to be pregnant.

The “Mad Money” actress – who has two-year-old daughter Suri with husband Tom Cruise – was seen celebrating America’s Independence Day (July 4, 2008) with an apparent baby bump, prompting suggestions she could be expecting her second child.

Recent reports claimed Katie, 29, is “itching” to add to her brood now Suri has turned two, because she misses having a baby in the house.

A source close to the star said: “Katie said she has got the itch. Now that Suri is a toddler rather than a baby, she said she misses having an infant in the house. And, of course, Katie thinks Suri would make a great big sister!”

Katie, Tom and Suri spent the holiday weekend at their Telluride home in Colorado.

They joined locals for the national holiday festivities, with Tom donning a cowboy hat and Suri wearing a bright red headband complete with two American flags.
