''Gossip Girl'' star Taylor Momsen has received treatment for a ''severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection.''
The 15-year-old actress – who plays rebellious teenager Jenny Humphrey on the hit US TV show – is now on "aggressive antibiotics" for the illness after being released from hospital yesterday (Oct 22, 2008), according to her doctor Shawn Nasseri.

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen- who has alarmed some fans lately with her thin frame - says she doesn't feel pressure to be skinny.
"Not at all," she told reporters Saturday at the Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus in Brooklyn, New York. "I mean, I'm just kind of naturally thin. My mom's really thin, and I'm tall. Good genes."
