Victoria Beckham is anything but posh.

The former Spice Girl became 2007’s biggest fashion victim on Tuesday when style snipe Mr. Blackwell named her the worst-dressed celebrity of the year.

“In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty ‘Posh’ can really wreck-em,” Blackwell said in his annual list of fashion fiascos among music, movie and television stars.

It’s not the first time Posh Spice made the dreaded list.

Blackwell listed the Spice Girls as No. 1 in his 1998 worst-dressed list, deriding the group as “the only spices on the planet that have no taste.”

No one will quibble over his No. 2 choice for 2007: British singer Amy Winehouse, the high-haired hellion known more these days for her grungy wardrobe than her warbling. “Exploding beehives above, tacky polka-dots below,” mocked Blackwell.

Bedraggled billionaire Mary-Kate Olsen, who, with her twin, launched a high-end clothing line last year, came in third.

“She resembles a tattered toothpick trapped in a hurricane,” griped Blackwell, whose list is in its 48th installment.

Fergie and Kelly Clarkson, two more singers who hit sour notes, rounded out the top five.

Also on the worst list were French actress Eva Green, singers Avril Lavigne and Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and former child star Alison Arngrim.

Britney Spears, who has made the list many times before, was missing. “I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval,” Blackwell said. “I hope 2008 is a better year for her.”

Victoria Beckham wanted to get a bit hippy on the Spice Girl’s reunion tour.

But don’t panic, Posh wasn’t coming over all peace and love – pal Roberto Cavalli has revealed that she wanted her outfits to “give her hips.”

The Italian fashion supremo who designed costumes for the Spice Girls for their comeback world tour thought Posh Spice “was the most daring”.

He told Grazia magazine: “She wanted to experiment, to surprise and be different. Her only request was that we give her hips.”

Cavalli, who is a personal friend of the 33-year-old clothes-horse also revealed that Geri Halliwell wanted to show off her toned body while new mother Emma Bunton asked to cover up.

He said: “I met each one on their own so I could get an idea of their personality.

“I asked them about their bodies, what they wanted to show and hide, and we talked about how they had evolved in the years since they were Spice Girls.

“Then I let them view my archive and asked them what they wanted”.

He added: “We updated Geri’s iconic Union Jack dress into a corseted Swarovski crystal-studded minidress.

“Melanie B, she was very strong, very assertive. Oh my, she was very hard work,” he joked, “I had to change her outfits twice.

“She wanted shiny, body-conscious clothes, and animal prints….

“Emma was very quiet at first, but became more confident. She wanted her outfits to be more conservative and covered up.

“Because Melanie C is the main vocalist, she wanted to be more rock chick than sporty – so for her, more trousers.

“Geri wanted everything sexy and very theatrical – she wanted to show off her body.”

The girls kick off the UK leg of their tour in London on December 15th.

Britain’s most successful girl group, which folded in 2000, kicked off their comeback world tour on Sunday night in Vancouver, at the General Motors Place indoor arena.

And newspapers back home lapped up their return at the first opportunity, printing front-page pictures of the five singers in action on the west coast of Canada.

Victoria Beckham (”Posh Spice”), Melanie Brown (”Scary Spice”), Emma Bunton (”Baby Spice”), Melanie Chisholm (”Sporty Spice”) and Geri Halliwell (”Ginger Spice”) are on a concert tour set to hit six continents.

The Daily Mirror and the Daily Telegraph both featured a giant picture of Halliwell looking majestic in a Union Flag dress.

She is squeezing far fewer curves into her trademark outfit than the first time round when it symbolised the “Cool Britannia” mood of the late 1990s.

“The crowd was awed by the power of the performance and the whittled frames of the now thirty-something members,” said The Daily Telegraph.

“They’re back… and bigger than ever”, said the front page of The Sun, next to a picture of Beckham in a push-up top. “(And so are the Spice Girls)”, it added.

The Times gave the show four out of five marks, saying it was a fairytale start to their comeback.

“If this show — colourful, energetic and wildly ambitious — was intended to cash in on past triumphs, there was certainly no stinting on the time, dedication and money spent on it,” their review said.

“The Spice Girls have never been the world’s greatest singers or dancers, but they remain consummate entertainers.

“They performed with every ounce of strength in their legs and passion in their hearts. Mission accomplished.”

Most newspapers touched on how much live singing was done, accusing them of duff notes, auto-tuning and miming.

But the Daily Star quoted a Spice Girls spokesman as saying they sang live over a click track, while a backstage source said it was standard for such highly choreographed tours to have extra vocals on a backing track with the performers singing over the top.

“It’s Spice to have you back,” said the tabloid.

Newspapers noted that all the girls sung a solo spot except for Beckham, who did a mock catwalk routine instead.

The Sun thought Brown’s solo turn singing Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way” was a highlight, while the Daily Mirror accused her of “murdering” the stomping rock tune.

It still gave her an A minus, while Halliwell and Beckham got an A plus, Bunton a B plus and Chisholm got a C minus.

Most tabloids ran the set list in full.

“Ah, the glitz, the glamour, the unashamed girly pop — it was just like they’d never been away,” said the Daily Express.

“The Spices finally silenced their critics… with a glorious, glittering show.”

The Daily Mail branded them “Old Spice” and compared photos of the singers then and now.

“In the years since they split, there have been three husbands, seven children and one divorce — not to mention surgical enhancements.”

The Independent carried a picture of Halliwell and Beckham with a caption, while The Guardian rounded up the Canadian press reviews.

Victoria Beckham has agreed to appear naked on charity T-shirts designed by Marc Jacobs.

The Spice Girl will be the face of Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2008 collection, according to the Mirror.

Julianna Moore, Dita Von Teese and Naomi Campbell stripped off for his T-shirts in 2006 to raise £30,000 for a skin cancer charity.

Talking about Posh’s decision, a source said: “Victoria loves Marc’s work but she wasn’t entirely comfortable with getting naked.

“Marc went all-out to persuade her. And when she heard about what a great cause it was she knew she just couldn’t turn it down.

“The picture she and Marc have chosen is amazing – sexy but tasteful.”

The Spice Girls are claiming to have fallen victim to a hoaxer who has sent an email perporting to be from the reformed girl group.

Last week it was reported that the band had cancelled a show in Argentina, after an ‘official’ email was sent to fans claiming that their Buenos Aires gig had been scrapped due to high demand for their other dates.

However, a Spice Girls spokesman has issued a statement branding the announcement a “fake”:

“The Spice Girls would like to make it clear that they have not cancelled their Buenos Aires show.

“A story has appeared on several websites that includes a fake email and competition from the girls. The fake email claims that due to the demand so far in the UK and the US this show is going to be cancelled.

“The email goes onto say that they will be running some competitions for their South American fans to travel to the UK to watch a show.

“This is not the case and this email is 100% unofficial and has nothing to so with the Spice Girls.”

The spokesman adds that the band hopes to schedule a gig in the South American city in February.

Victoria Beckham was willing to be humiliated when she appeared on ‘Ugly Betty’, says America Ferrera.

America – who plays geeky editorial assistant Betty Suarez in the hit US TV show – revealed the Spice Girl was prepared to do anything, even if it meant poking fun at her public image.

The actress said: “She was wonderful. It always brings something to the show when we have someone new come in.

“She is a guest at Wilhelmina’s wedding, dressed in Vera Wang, who is also at the wedding. She was so nice, such a really lovely person. She was just one of the girls.

“She didn’t bring her own make-up people or anything. She definitely came with the right attitude. If you’re not willing to be humiliated then you don’t belong on our show.

“She was ready to be humiliated, yes!” America always avoided calling Victoria by her name because she was worried she would use her Posh Spice nickname.

She added to Britain’s New magazine: “I avoided it because I didn’t know what to call her. I was like, ‘Hi… you.’”

Singer Lily Allen has slammed Victoria Beckham for being obsessed with fame. The 22-year-old singer, who shot to fame when her single Smile went to No1 last summer, accused the singer of revelling in being famous for no reason.

“It does make me laugh to see pictures of Victoria Beckham on the front of a magazine. I think, ‘You are not promoting anything, you don’t need the money, so all it’s about is being famous,’” the Daily Mail quoted her, as telling You magazine.

“And I can never imagine my life being about being famous. I make music, that’s what I am here for. I would never go out and court publicity. I am in such a good place, it wouldn’t occur to me,” she added.

However, the singer admitted that she has changed her outlook towards people, and can’t bring herself to bitch anymore.

“As I am happier, I can’t bring myself to bitch. I find myself jumping to people’s defence. I saw Paris Hilton on the David Letterman show and I was like, ‘Why is he so horrible to her?’” she said.

Famous music band, Spice Girls have decided to go on a music world tour celebrating their reunion by completely stripping on stage. Melanie Chisholm told the media that the whole gang of girls will take off all their clothes during the stage show. She also said that they will sing without clothes with just stage props covering the essential body parts.

The singer had earlier expressed their worries about the reunion tour not being a success as the fans might not like their usual dance routines since they were ageing.

“We are not as young and flexible as we used to be,” she said. The girl band will start off their world tour on 2nd December 2007 in Vancouver, Canada.

Melanie Chisholm is ‘pissed off’ with the reports that she is a lesbian.

Chisholm was nicknamed ‘Butch Spice’ after the ban split in 2001 and after she gained fat and chopped her hair.
The 33-year-old singer was also rumoured to have an affair with her female assistant.

But Mel C, who has been dating property developer Thomas Starr for the past five years, has insisted that the rumours are nothing but cheap jibes.

“At first that made me laugh because it wasn’t something that ever crossed my mind. However, she has admitted that the reports might prove to be beneficial for her solo career.

“I don’t think it did me any harm. I’ve always had a huge lesbian and gay following and I’m really proud of that,” she added.

Spice Girls are still a rage, for the tickets to their London reunion concert sold out in an amazing 38 seconds.

The 20,000 seats for the O2 arena show, to be held on 15 December were released on Oct 1, and were snapped up in less than a minute.

The overwhelming demand for the sole London show forced the organizers to add three more London dates to the tour – December 16 and 18 and January 2.

The five original Spice Girls, Scary, Sporty, Ginger, Posh and Baby, will begin their worldwide reunion tour on December 2 in Vancouver, their first since Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998.

“It’s been fantastic to see how strong girl power still is in 2007, and we want to thank you for your support,” the Daily Mail quoted the Spice Girls, as stating on their website.

The December 15 concert is the fastest-selling show at The O2. A computer selected 20,000 of the million applications at random and emailed the fans.

In the US, Spice Girls tickets are selling for as much as 2,000 dollars on eBay.

‘Ugly Betty’ star Ashley Jensen says she can’t understand why Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice is constantly criticized by the media.
Jensen insists that the media is being unfair to the singer, who she thinks is very down to earth.

“It’s a shame people want her to fail so badly. I haven’t met her yet, but she seems very down to earth for someone who wears designer clothes and millions of pounds of jewellery,” Contactmusic quoted her, as telling Closer magazine.

The Scottish actress is currently based in Los Angeles admits that she could do with a few style tips from Posh.

“Over here, there’s so much pressure to have your hair and make-up perfect. However, when I do get recognized, I think: ‘Oh my god! What am I wearing?’ Perhaps I should be more like Victoria Beckham and groom myself a wee bit more,” she said.

Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice is reportedly getting set to make guest appearances with burlesque dance troupe The Pussycat Dolls.

If the reports are true, then Posh would join the list of stars who have already taken a turn on stage with the group. These include Carmen Electra, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

A source revealed that the group had been ‘blown away’ by Posh ever since she landed in the US, and they think that she has the perfect figure for their group.

“They’ve been blown away by Victoria since she arrived in LA. They love her style and think she has the perfect figure for the group. They are all huge Spice Girl fans and can’t wait to have her on stage with them,” the Daily Mail quoted the source, as saying.

Ancer and singer Jessica Sutta, 25, told the Daily Star that of all the Spice Girls, she personally preferred Posh. “I love Victoria! When I was 14, my mum actually bought me a Posh doll because she was my favourite Spice Girl,” she said.

“I still have the doll up in my house and I’m definitely going to see the Spice Girls concert in Los Angeles and get the doll signed. I have also been practising my Posh pout!”

Victoria wore the dress when she and hubby David Beckham dropped in at Japanese restaurant Nobu in Malibu for dinner.

One onlooker revealed that Posh certainly turned heads with her green ensemble, but not for the right reasons.

The turn in clothing was also a bit of a surprise as it was very different from the array of dresses Posh wore at the New York fashion week recently.

Back then she arrived at the luxurious Cipriani restaurant in a red classic Herve Leger dress, and as the day progressed was spotted at the Marc Jacobs show in a purple and sliver mini, with purple peep-toes and a matching handbag.

Victoria Beckham was left terrified after a stalker prowled the grounds of her Los Angeles home.

The Spice Girl’s security team were alerted after they heard suspicious rustling in the bushes of the Beverly Hills mansion. Her bodyguards attempted to catch the intruder but the trespasser managed to evade them. The Spice Girl was in the mansion on her own, after husband David had taken their three sons, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and two-year-old Cruz to watch his soccer team, the Los Angeles Galaxy play.

A spokesman for Victoria said: “There was a man in the bushes. Security didn’t catch him but he has been tracked down since. I am not sure if any action will be taken, but the house is secure and he didn’t get close to the family.”

Last month, the couple endured a separate scare after a female fan managed to get past David’s security cordon and reach his hotel room. Although she didn’t get into his room, it left the couple worried about their safety.

A source said: “It was like something out of a stalker film. She was using her feminine wiles but everyone was worried about the intense look in her eyes.”

“It’s still not clear if this was an attempt by the girl to have a romantic liaison with David or whether she actually wanted to do him some harm.”

Melanie Brown, better known as Scary Spice revealed that the pop star turned designer and fashion icon Beckham will design her look and dress for the ballroom dancing contest.

“Victoria was excited when she heard the news. She said, `I have to design your costumes. We’ve got to sort that out,’” Contactmusic quoted Brown, as saying.

Mel B signed up to join 12 celebrities taking part in the show, which includes Jane Seymour, Cameron Mathison, Josie Maran, Jennie Garth, Sabrina Bryan, Marie Osmond, Albert Reed, Wayne Newton, Floyd Mayweather, Helio Castroneves, and Mark Cuban.

The show is expected to kick off later in September.

Singer Mel C has revealed that the Spice Girls will not indulge in any wild partying during their upcoming world tour. Sporty Spice insisted that the girls will follow a strict regime to stay in a tip-top condition to be on the run.

“After a show we can’t really have drinks in our dressing room, we’ll be back in our hotel rooms and going to bed by 10.30pm,” the Mirror quoted her, as saying.

“Going on tour is like getting married. You have to look your best and prepare by exercising five times a week,” she said.
Spice Girls’ eleven-date world tour entitled ‘The Return of the Spice Girls’ will kick off in Vancouver on December 2, 2007.

It seems that singer Geri Halliwell has found love in the arms of Russian billionaire Evgeny Lebedev.

Reports that ‘Ginger Spice’ was dating Lebedev started circulating after the two were spotted together at a summer party at London’s Serpentine Gallery recently.

However, both Geri and Lebedev insisted at the time that they were just friends.

But earlier this week, Geri was spotted cosying up to a mystery man while on holiday near St Tropez.

“Geri is in the early stages of her relationship with Evgeny, but they are very happy together. She is having a lot of fun with him and he is a breath of fresh air after all of her disastrous dates in the past,” the Daily Mail quoted a source, as saying.

“He is only 26, which is perfect for her because she likes the younger man,” the source added.

Evgeny, who was recently named the world’s third most eligible bachelor by Tatler magazine, is the first man Geri has dated since splitting with Sacha Gervasi in 2005.

“Geri is in a good place at the moment, she’s getting herself fit and ready for the Spice Girls tour and her new love is the icing on the cake for her,” the source said.

Victoria Beckham will offer her fashion ideas in a new book, “That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between,” to be published by HarperCollins in November.

“I’ve always been a girl’s girl,” Beckham, aka Posh Spice, said in a statement Thursday. “And I know from experience that making the very best of yourself is something any woman can do.”

Beckham is a member of the newly reunited Spice Girls and wife of soccer star David Beckham.

“I was never the 6-foot-tall pinup. I’ve always been the girl-next-door who got lucky,” she said. “I’ve come a long way in the last 10 years, but this book isn’t my attempt to tell you what or what not to do. It’s just to share some of what I’ve learned.”

According to HarperCollins, “That Extra Half an Inch” will offer guidance on everything from how to dress on special occasions to “how to feel confident and look great every time you leave the house.”

Beckham’s ability to sell books, at least other people’s books, has already been demonstrated. Last spring, she was seen holding a copy of “Skinny Bitch,” a diet guide by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin that soon became a best seller.

Murphy acknowledged his paternity of Brown’s daughter, Angel, last week, one day after the 32-year-old singer took legal action to establish him as the parent.

Belafonte is a movie producer whose recent credits include “Sisters” and “Thank You for Smoking.” Brown was known as Scary Spice when she performed with the Spice Girls, whom she’ll join for the band’s reunion tour in December and January.

A marriage certificate filed with Clark County, which encompasses Las Vegas, lists the date of the couple’s nuptials as June 6. It does not state exactly where they were married.

An email to Brown’s publicist was not immediately returned.

Eddie Murphy not only has his wedding to deal with, but also the paternity action suit that ex lover, and baby mama, Melanie Brown slapped on him.

Brown, aka Scary Spice, has filed an action against Murphy in the Los Angeles Superior Court, over the couple’s daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

In her petition, Scary Spice has not only taken steps to establish Murphy as the legal father, but is also asking for sole custody and “reasonable” child support, reports E!Online.

Talking to reporters at a press conference Brown said: “I am here today for one reason and one reason only; her name is Angel. Angel is my baby and Eddie’s. She will always know that she was planned and wanted by both of us.”

“I am speaking out today because I recognize that there are millions of single mothers and their children who don’t have a voice who also wish for the fathers of their children to participate and share the responsibility for their children’s lives.

“Those children have a right to know their fathers, and I call on those fathers to ignore the poor role model that Eddie has been and set a better example for their children.

“The relationship was in full swing right at the beginning of my pregnancy,” Brown added.
Her attorney, Gloria Allred, insisted that the action suit was prompted by Murphy’s “shocking and appalling conduct since he learned Ms. Brown was pregnant.”

This includes Murphy stating on live Dutch TV last year: “We don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test.”

Allred also insisted that while a DNA test in June this year “established [Murphy's] paternity, but paternity has not been legally acknowledged”, even though Murphy had told reporters that he would ‘do the right thing’ if the baby was his.

“Murphy was promising to do the right thing, but to date he has not done the right thing. Mr. Murphy can have all the babies he chooses to have, but his responsibility needs to be to his own children. [Brown] is seeking sole physical and legal custody,” said Allred.

“When a star such as Murphy turns his back on his own baby, it sends an unacceptable message to other single fathers around the world. I’m telling you, Mr. Murphy, it’s all over…We’ve seen you in the movies, and now we look forward to seeing you in court,” she added.
