Salma Hayek and Valentina wore lots of blue out over the weekend for family outings with Francois-Henri Pinault.

Valentina’s had quality time with both her dad and her mom recently, joining Salma and her BFF Penelope for lunch last week.

The good friends are both up for ALMA awards this weekend so Valentina will have another chance to play with her daddy if he doesn’t join Salma when she walks the glamorous red carpet.

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault kicked off their wedding weekend with a masked gala on Friday night in Venice for all their guests. Celebrity attendees include Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend, as well as Ed Norton, Woody Harrelson, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith, Penelope Cruz, Ashley Judd, and more.

Salma and Francois-Henri’s daughter Valentina got to join in the festivities, carried into the awaiting gondolas in the arms of her smiling father. What an amazing way to welcome guests to their wedding — hopefully the bride and groom can focus on the party because the official ceremony part was all the way back on Valentine’s Day.

The “Ugly Betty” actress – who has a 16-month-old daughter, Valentina, with Francois-Henri – reportedly tied the knot in France on Valentine’s Day (Feb 14, 2009).

The ceremony took place at the city hall of the Sixth Arrondissement in St. Germaine, Paris.

It has been claimed the couple – who called off their engagement last July – decided to give their romance a second try by taking two romantic breaks to the French capital late last year.
In December, Salma and Francois-Henri sparked reunion rumors after they were seen being “very affectionate” at the Dubai Fim Festival.

Salma, 43, recently confirmed she is still romancing the 46-year-old businessman – who is CEO of luxury brand giant PPR – after revealing she thinks of him when she films love scenes with her “30 Rock” co-star Alec Baldwin.

She said: “I keep telling Francois, ‘I imagine I was kissing you.’”

Francois-Henri – who began dating Salma in May 2006 – is one of France’s richest men and has an estimated fortune of $16.9 billion.

.The pair sparked rumors of a romance at the recent Golden Globes Awards ceremony, where Colin was seen cradling Salma’s face and locking lips with the stunning actress.

A source said: “He held her face and kissed her several times. It was very intimate, not like they were just pals.”

However, this is not the first time Salma – who has 16-month-old daughter Valentina with ex-partner Francois-Henri Pinault – and Colin have been intimate.

The pair briefly dated while filming 2004 movie “Ask the Dust.”

Salma is said to “adore” the 32-year-old Irish actor – who has previously battled drug addiction – and was left upset when their short-lived romance didn’t work out.

The source added to the National Enquirer magazine: “Colin was in love with her but was too screwed up on alcohol and drugs to make a good boyfriend to her.”

“Now that he’s sober, their chances are much better.”

Salma Hayek forced Penelope Cruz to watch the Oscar nominations.

Penelope, who was staying at close friend Salma’s Los Angeles home, had planned to sleep through the nominations, having only flown into the city a few hours before. Her hostess, however, had other plans.

Penelope said: “I had just arrived to Los Angeles very, very late at night, and I had went to sleep (sic). Four hours later, I was at the house of some of my girlfriends, and they woke me up.”

“Actually, it was Salma Hayek. She woke me up and said, ‘We have to watch it live!’ I said, ‘That’s such a big risk!’”

Despite fears of jinxing her chances of a nomination, the actress soon discovered her role in romantic comedy “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” has put her in the running for the Best Supporting Actress award.

She said: “We watched and then I heard the news – everything goes so fast! An hour later, you have to start doing all these interviews and then you spend all day working. I haven’t had the time yet to digest or understand it.”

Salma Hayek and her fiance have called off their engagement.

The “Frida” actress and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault – who have a 10-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma together – were reportedly set to marry later this year, but their spokesperson confirms the plans have now been “canceled.”

The representative said: “We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment.”

Salma – who met Francois-Henri in Venice in May 2006 – revealed earlier this year she didn’t see the importance of getting married, and instead wanted to celebrate their relationship with a huge party for friends and family.

She said: “I don’t have a need for marriage. You want to grow old with someone, you want to have a partner and to have children – we have all those things. Some people need the commitment. Maybe we’ll just have the party!”

In the interview, Salma also insisted the couple were happy with their relationship and could cope with Francois-Henri living in Paris, France, while Salma stays with Valentina in Los Angeles.

She added: “To most women it’s crazy. But every relationship is unique, and in order to make it work you have to be willing to listen – not only to your partner, but to the relationship itself.”

It was the pair’s combined fortune, which made them win the poll, conducted by In Touch Weekly.

Pinault’s luxury goods company PPR, which owns Gucci Yves Saint Laurent, is said to be worth over 14 billion dollars.

A new door for nexus between Hollywood and Hindi film industry has opened with a co-production deal between Los Angeles’ entertainment company Hollywood Studios International and India’s Carving Dreams Entertainment.

The deal, reported to be of 100 million US dollars, will have the two companies joining hands to co-produce as many as five films within a span of 2 to 3 years.

These films will reportedly be made in English and Hindi and will feature actors from Hollywood and Indian film industry.

Such projects will be very instrumental in bringing together talents from two of the biggest film industries of the world.

For one such project, Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar and Irrfan Khan are under consideration. Reports have it that Mexican actress Salma Hayek (who has acted in many Hollywood flicks) has been approached for a significant role in this film.

Things are still in very preliminary stages and nothing has been finalized as yet.

Under the two-year pact, Hayek and producing partner Jose Tamez will develop new series projects for the studio through their company, Ventanarosa Prods.

“I share with the industry an incredible respect for Salma’s passion and business insight for developing quality storytelling that appeals to a broad audience,” ABC Studios president Mark Pedowitz said. ” ‘Ugly Betty’ was just the beginning of what we hope is a long and successful partnership with Salma.”

“Ugly Betty,” which is based on the blockbuster Colombian telenovela “Betty La Fea,” has been a passion project for Hayek, who was a famous telenovela star in her native Mexico before moving to Hollywood in the early 1990s, and Tamez, a former telenovela producer. Hayek was instrumental in casting America Ferrera to play the lead and also recurred on the show this past season. The two are executive producing the series with creator Silvio Horta, Ben Silverman, James Hayman and Marco Pennette.

“Working with Mark Pedowitz and his amazing team at ABC Television Studios on ‘Ugly Betty’ has been a successful and collaborative experience,” Tamez said. “Both Salma and myself are happy to embark on this new chapter.”

The deal with ABC Studios marks the first overall TV pact for Hayek and Tamez, who have been ramping up their producing efforts.

Last month, the duo launched a film company, Ventanazul, in partnership with MGM to develop, produce and acquire mainstream films that either draw on Latin themes or feature Latin talent.

Hayek is repped by CAA, Management 360 and attorney Bill Sobel.

“Businessman Francois-Henri Pinault and his fiancée, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child,” Hayek’s publicist said in a statement Friday.

Pinault is the CEO of PPR, the world’s third largest luxury conglomerate, which owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, the French department store Printemps, catalog giant La Redoute and the music-bookstore chain FNAC.

Vanilla Sky star Penelope Cruz has quashed rumours of her being in a gay relationship with best pal Salma Hayek, insisting they bond as sisters, and not lesbian lovers.

The two have been close friends for 6 years and photos had surfaced recently that suggested that they were perhaps more than just friends. One example is the provocative picture of them on the red carpet where Cruz is grabbing Hayek’s backside.
