Snoop Dogg wants to make ”gangsta pop” with Miley Cyrus.

The rap star – who has just finished producing and performing on a Johnny Cash Remixed album – is open to experimenting with new styles of music and would happily collaborate with the 16-year-old singer, as well as pop trio the Jonas Brothers.

When asked if he would work with the Disney favorites, Snoop replied: “Hell yeah. We can make some gangsta pop music.”

Snoop performed at the Our World Live event at Hollywood’s Avalon nightclub last night (April 8, 2009) and showed he has been inspired by working on the country legend’s remix record.

Introducing “My Medicine,” his Johnny Cash inspired rap-infused country track, he said: “Country musicians are just like us. They smoke weed, get drunk, talk s**t, go to jail. But they just wear the little hats.”

Eminem was rumored to be joining Snoop at the show but pulled out because he was busy in the studio.

Kanye West faces up to two and a half years in jail following a scuffle with paparazzi.

The rapper was formally handed misdemeanor charges of vandalism, battery and grand theft yesterday (March 18, 2009) for the scuffle at Los Angeles airport on September 11 last year.

Kanye’s road manager Don Crawley faces the same charges, but two counts of each.

The prosecuting Los Angeles attorney’s office issued a statement, saying Kanye and Crawley “confronted, and engaged in an altercation with, two photographers.”

Video footage of the altercation shows Kanye, 31, and Crawley, 33, pulling a camera away from a photographer and smashing it on the ground.

Crawley is alleged to have also smashed a second photographer’s camera. The hip-hop star was arrested before he could board his flight.

On his blog the next day he wrote: “I’m cool with the paparazzi. This guy wasn’t cool. I gotta work now, I’ll rant later!”

Prosecutors say the incident resulted in minor injuries to one of the photographers. The smashed equipment was valued at around $10,000 at the time.

Kanye was arrested again later in the year in Newcastle, England, after he clashed with another paparazzo, but was released without charge.

Kanye – who was represented by his lawyer Blair Berk for the hearing yesterday – is due in court on April 14.

Snoop Dogg faces up to four years in jail.

The rapper – real name Calvin Broadus – was charged on Tuesday (04.10.07) with the sale or transportation of marijuana and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.

If convicted he could be sentenced to jail time.

Snoop’s attorney, Donald Etra, said: “These are the charges that were fully expected, and they will be dealt with in court.”

The 35-year-old rapper was arrested at California’s Burbank airport last October, after police found a handgun and marijuana in his car.

Another gun was found in his Los Angeles home last November following a police search.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” star is forbidden from ever owning a gun, following his conviction for possession of drugs for sale in 1990.

Snoop has been in trouble with the law on several occasions in the last year.

Last September, he tried to board a plane in California while carrying a 20-inch collapsible baton in a computer bag.

The rapper-and-actor claimed the baton was a movie prop, not a weapon.

In March, Snoop was questioned by Stockholm police for suspected narcotics use.

The UK leg of his tour with Diddy was cancelled last month after he was denied entry into Britain, following a brawl in London’s Heathrow airport last year.

Snoop’s arraignment has been set for today (04.11.07).

The rapper – real name Marshall Mathers – will appear in Detroit’s Macomb Circuit Court today (Mar 26, 2007) to apply for the order.

Legal documents state Eminem wants to prevent his former spouse from bad-mouthing him in public to protect their 11-year-old daughter Hailie from “humiliation and hostility.”

Kim has publicly accused the rapper of “slacking very much” with regard to his parental responsibilities and claims there is “nothing positive” between him and Hailie.

In February, Kim appeared on Detroit’s Wkqi-FM’s “Mojo In The Morning” radio show where she revealed intimate details of their relationship.

She said of the rapper: “I can’t stand him. He’s an absolutely horrible person, and he gets worse every day. I vomit in my mouth whenever I’m around him or I hear his name.”

She also described sex with her ex-husband as “bad” saying, “He’s not very well endowed.”

Eminem released a statement through his publicist Dennis Dennehy saying: “It’s a shame that I’ve moved on and Kim hasn’t.”

“Her ongoing press campaign is doing nothing but harm to the children, and for that I feel truly sorry. For their sake I wish she would stop.”

The couple first married in 1999 but divorced two years later. They remarried in January 2006 and Eminem filed for divorce in April of that year. The divorce was finalized in December.

The couple also have custody of Hailie’s cousin Alaina.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “Jay is asking for several million as a base salary plus big bonus ‘bumps’ on records that do well. Reid isn’t going for it. They’re miles apart.”

Since taking the position Jay-Z has invigorated the company by signing a host on young artists, including Rihanna and Ne-Yo, while his own album “Kingdom Come” has been a huge worldwide success.

Insiders claim Reid is questioning how much time the rapper can devote to the label now he has come out of his own self-imposed music retirement and is touring again.

The singer’s other time-consuming business interests include his chain of 40/40 nightclubs and stakes in clothing label Rocawear, the New Jersey Nets basketball team and a Champagne concern.

Reid is also rumored to be jealous of the attention and respect the rapper receives.

A source said: “When Jay walks into a meeting, he sucks the air out of the room. Even without trying.”

“At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame awards, Jay and L.A. were sitting at the same table. But it was like L.A. was invisible.”

However, Reid denies there is any friction between him and Jay-Z. He said: “We really love Jay.”

“He’s so important to our company, there’s not much we wouldn’t do to keep him here, money being the least of them.”

“People at other labels may wish there was trouble. If you put the two of us in a room with an artist we want, we will sign that artist.”

“It’s very hard to turn us down. I hope to work with him for many, many years. He’s magical. I need him.”

The star, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was taken into custody at around 5:30 am on Thursday, in lower Manhattan, and he was due in court Thursday night.

The cops busted him driving his SUV around Tribeca without a valid driver’s license and kept him behind bars for nearly 18 hours before arraigning him. The suspended-license charge he was accused of is punishable by up to 15 days in jail upon conviction.

This is the latest legal issue for Rhymes who, not so long ago, was accused of assault in two separate cases which are still ongoing. On Tuesday he appeared in front of a judge whose deal he is now considering, which would allow him to plead guilty to misdemeanor assault and perform community service instead of jail.
