Angelina Jolie has topped a list of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars Ever. The ‘Beowulf’ actress topped the poll, conducted by Empire magazine, to find the most beautiful star of the silver screen.

Angelina claimed the prestigious title because of her “pneumatic figure, feline eyes and lips that could have been stung by several hives of bees”.

She narrowly beat Natalie Portman, who finished in second position after “making baldness sexy” in ‘V for Vendetta’ and setting men’s pulses racing with her raunchy pole dancing scene in ‘Closer’.

James Bond actor Daniel Craig – who wowed women in ‘Casino Royale’ when he emerged from the ocean in a pair of tight-fitting blue swimming trunks – came third, while ‘Fantastic Four’ beauty Jessica Alba finished fourth.
‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny Depp rounded off the top five.

Other entries on the list, which was voted for by 20,000 film fans, included Matt Damon – who was recently voted People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2007 – who took 17th spot.

British stars Christian Bale, Kate Winslet, Orlando Bloom, Kate Beckinsale and Clive Owen all made it in to the top 25, with ‘Harry Potter’ actor Daniel Radcliffe coming in at 23.

‘Volver’ actress Penelope Cruz took 50th position and the entire list was rounded off by ‘Die Hard 4.0′ actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Sexy Penelope Cruz has been named Hollywood’s new style queen, according to a poll conducted by ‘In Touch Weekly’.

The ‘Blow’ star was followed by the dazzling Kate Hudson and ‘13 Going On 30′ actress Jennifer Garner.

The purpose behind the list was to find the most consistent best dresser on Tinsel town’s red carpets.

As for the reason for choosing Cruz, the In Touch editors claimed that the 33-year-old had everything to look like the star she was.

“Penelope plays up romance… She steams up the red carpet in strapless gowns that play up her decolletage,” Contactmusic quoted the editors, as saying.

“A true girlie-girl, Penelope loves to play dress-up in romantic styles by classic designers like Chanel and Valentino, and look like the movie star she is,” they added.

Cameron Diaz, ‘Ray’ star Kerry Washington and Katie Holmes also made it to the Top 10 in the list.

Britney Spears’ habit of making the news in 2007 has helped her top the list of the ten most popular searches on internet search engine Yahoo!

The 26-year-old, who is currently embroiled in a custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, has fascinated the world with her erratic behaviour this year, including shaving her head; attacking a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella; spending time in rehab; and leaving the industry world gobsmacked after a terrible performance of her last single at a recent award ceremony.

And while she might not be hitting the headlines for the right reasons, Britney’s life continues to attract attention, leading to today’s announcement that she has topped the Yahoo! search list for the sixth time in seven years.

“People do not know what to expect from her any more and the searches would spike every time she was back in the news,” said Vera Chan, senior editor at Yahoo!

“From when she shaved her head and rumours emerged from the rehab mill that she was calling herself the anti-Christ and shaved 666 on her scalp, there was constant tracking of this almost modern-day Greek tragedy happening in front of us.”

Britney’s former friend Paris Hilton was the only other person to top the list, in 2004, and was the third most popular search term this year, Chan confirmed.

“The tolerance for her party behaviour was fading, but her jail sentence popped her back up to that level of attention,” she added.

Lindsay Lohan’s arrest for driving under the influence saw her climb from tenth to sixth, while better behaved celebrities Beyonce Knowles and Jessica Alba finished in fifth and tenth respectively.

When it comes to having the best body in tinsel town, the likes of George Clooney and Jude Law are absolutely no competition for new Bond Daniel Craig. The British star topped a poll of ‘Best Celeb Bodies’ for a fitness firm.

The poll also showed that no matter how much people admire George Clooney and Jude Law, when it comes to physique, the two were no competition to another former James Bond – Sir Sean Connery.

Connery came in tenth on the list, but he was still placed higher than the two younger stars. While 46-year old Clooney was 14th on the list, 34-year old Law was at the 15th spot, reports The Sun.

In the ladies category, the poll was topped by 29-year old Myleene Klass.

Once again however, it showed that there are enough people who admire older women’s bodies when Sophia Loren was rated higher on the list than Angelina Jolie, 32, and Jennifer Lopez, 38.
