Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are set to receive $2 million for pictures of their newborn baby.The married couple – who welcomed their first child together, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, into the world last week – could receive the staggering amount for the first exclusive shots of their son.

Publicist Howard Bragman said: “I see Ashlee and Pete coming in at the low seven figures mark.”

“Two million seems like a good, solid figure for Ashlee and Pete. It’s a two-celeb couple, so that’s a boost for them.”

“Keep in mind, last year, Ashlee was the girl who sang along to the tape recorder.”

“It was a PR nightmare. Now, she’s a newlywed and a new mom, so she’s a lot more relatable.”

Bragman also said Ashlee should take heed from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who reportedly received $20 million for the first photo shoot with their twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon.

He added: “Nobody does this better than Angelina.”

“She and Brad Pitt have been very careful to make it clear that the money they’ve been getting has been part of their charity outreach work.”

“The big bucks are a nice perk, but for them, the publicity is priceless.”

The US singer’s husband, Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz, says Ashlee feels so hot all the time she has to have all rooms set to 34 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pete, 29, said: “She’s hot all the time. She’s like, ‘I wish I was in Canada right now.’ Our room temperature is set to like, 34 degrees. It’s insane!”

Ashlee, 24 – whose original due date was October 27th – could give birth any day, and while she is excited about the birth, she is finding everyday tasks a struggle because of her sizable bump.

Pete added: “I am on call permanently right now. She’s at the very end, and it could happen at any point.”

“I think she wants to just be not pregnant anymore. It’s a struggle to go up and down the stairs. Going out in public is insane.”

Despite hints the couple are expecting a boy, Pete claims he and Ashlee never found out the gender. They have also decided to wait for the new arrival before they decide on a name.

He continued: “I want to meet the baby first, my friend said it best – you’ve got to have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so he’ll get work either way.”a

Pete, 27, said the pair would rather hang out in their Los Angeles basement, with inflatable palm trees, than spend money on an exotic holiday to celebrate their marriage – which took place last Saturday (May 17, 2008).

He said: “We’re going to save that $30,000 you know. We’ve got some blow-up palm trees, a little fake-n-bake tanning booth.”
