Kate Moss has been enjoying late night texting sessions with ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty.

The supermodel – whose relationship with The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince is rumored to be on the rocks – has been in contact with the Babyshambles frontman over the past week and he is now convinced they will rekindle their romance.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Jamie was furious when Pete got in touch about a week ago. And over the last three nights he and Kate have texted each other until the early hours.

“Pete’s been showing the texts to his friends and thinks he is on the verge of winning her back but his pals aren’t convinced.”

In some of the texts, Pete told Kate how much he missed her and thinks they are perfect together. When he heard about Kate’s rumored split with Jamie, Pete offered her his condolences.

Kate – who separated from Pete last June amid claims he had cheated on her with a South African model – and Jamie reportedly had a blazing row on Saturday (July 5, 2008) and the rocker has now started moving his possessions out of her North London home.

A source said: “Kate made some comment about a girl who had been hanging around Jamie and it deteriorated from there.”

“Just hours later, Jamie was packing his things and moving stuff out of her house. By the afternoon, most if it had gone.”

Since the argument, the couple haven’t spoken although Jamie is said to have told friends they haven’t split permanently but he is giving Kate space to calm down.

According to ShowBizSpy.com, the British supermodel, who began dating Hince last August, was spotted picking up wedding brochures at the Londons Claridges hotel sparking rumours that she is planning to hold her nuptials there followed by a lavish reception in one of the many decadent ballrooms

“Kate looked radiant when she came by to pick up the wedding brochures, News.com.au quoted a source, as saying.

“She has the air of a woman who is loved and looked after,” the source added.

Kate allegedly proposed to the Kills star during a 12-hour sex romp and after they spent the night of passion, Kate is believed to have told pals, “We’re engaged.”

The catwalk diva regularly visited Claridge’s when she was dating Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty.

However, since their split last July, she has favoured London’s Dorchester hotel, where she held her 34th birthday party earlier this month.

“It was generally assumed Claridge’s was a bolthole for her and Pete and she wouldn’t be back again, so you can image the buzz when she showed up,” the source added.

Kate Moss is desperate to clean up her act for 2008… by making it the year of the family.

The supermodel has decided to move her new nanny into her new home in a bid to curb her own hell-raising lifestyle.

She is giving 65-year-old Mary Davidson – her pal Sadie Frost’s mum – her own section of her North London house to create a more “family-friendly” atmosphere.

A source close to the supermodel tells us: “Kate knows that Mary being there will ground her and make her home a far more stable environment for her five-year-old daughter, Lila Grace.

“She’s so excited about Mary moving in and doing lots of cooking and baking for her and her little girl.

“One of the conditions that Mary was brought in the first place was to make the whole place more homely.

“This is Kate’s way of cleaning up her act for 2008. It’s the year that she wants to make her life become more family-orientated.”

Kate recently moved to posh St John’s Wood and a pal said: “Not only was there more room in the new house for this to happen, but the whole process of moving has given her a sense of starting afresh.

“She wants to put a difficult year – in which she’s broken up with long-term love Pete Doherty – behind her.”

Kate’s search for a new nanny started when Jade Davidson – who is Sadie Frost’s sister – resigned from the £500-a-week job after reportedly getting fed up with the model’s lifestyle.

A close source revealed that Kate wanted someone a bit older and more like a “Mrs Doubtfire” figure.

But they added: “Mary is still cool and knows how to let her hair down when the time is appropriate She’s in India at the moment chilling out before the job starts but is then going to put her life and soul into it.”

Our source goes on: “Kate was gutted when Jade quit but is delighted that Mary has said yes.

“She’s doubled her money as well and, of course, she’ll enjoy the very best in VIP treatment and first-class travel.”

Legendary singer Sir Paul McCartney admitted to Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty that he joined the Beatles to sleep with women. He also dismissed reports that John Lennon was gay.

McCartney asked Doherty to interview him after watching the junkie rocker perform with his band on Jonathan Ross’ BBC chat show.

In the interview, the 65-year-old singer confessed that he joined the band to ‘get girls’. “The whole thing about getting into a band was to get girls, basically. Money and girls. Probably girls first,” Mirror quoted McCartney, as saying.

“So when you are on the road, and there was time for a party, we had a bunch of those,” he added.

The music legend also revealed that the parties thrown by the band were “decadent” and he slept “top and tail” in the same bed as Lennon.

Also, McCartney shot down the reports that his former song-writing partner John Lennon was a gay. “What I spotted was completely the opposite. It was just chicks, chicks, chicks,” he added.

The 49-year old rocker revealed that a reason why the couple’s affair lasted for so long was because not only were they ‘totally nuts’ about each other, but because their sex life was also incredible.

“They were perfect for each other. Totally nuts about each other. They were one of those couples that would argue loads but when they got back together they would have mind-blowing sex,” the Mirror quoted him, as saying.

MacGowan, who is rumoured to have offered Doherty a place to stay after the latter completes his stint in rehab, also said that the couple were sure to miss their ‘great chemistry’.

“They had this great chemistry and that’s something they’ll miss,” he said.

Doherty is currently at the Clouds rehab clinic in Wiltshire, where he has spent the past month receiving treatment for drug addiction.

Brit supermodel Naomi Campbell has hit out at rocker Pete Doherty for the way he treated her pal Kate Moss.

Speaking at the launch of Fashion for Relief, a fashion show to raise cash for Britain’s flood victims, the stroppy model called Doherty an a**hole and said that she is happy that Moss has found a new man.

“I hear Kate has a new man. That’s fantastic – good for her. As long as he’s not like that a***hole Pete. Urg,” the Mirror quoted her, as saying.

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” hitmaker claims that he has never taken drugs in his life and just can’t understand why other rockers insist on leading such a hell-raising lifestyle.

“I’ve never done anything more than a bottle of wine,” Contactmusic quoted him, as telling the Glamour magazine.

“I do smoke cigarettes sometimes, but only socially… Still, even that’ll be outlawed soon,” he added.

Meanwhile Bon Jovi has hit out at British rockers Oasis and pop star Robbie Williams, claiming that their music is so bad that it “couldn’t fill a bar”.

He also attacked troubled Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty with his sarcastic comments and made fun of soccer ace David Beckham.

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has reportedly rekindled his relationship with former girlfriend, model Irina Lazareanu. He met her before he started dating supermodel Kate Moss.

Doherty’s relationship with Lazareanu ended in 2004 but the pair has recently been catching up and is back together.

Doherty and Lazareanu were spotted together at Claridge’s hotel in London and stuck together to the V Festival in Chelmsford, where Babyshambles were playing.

Moss’ friends say that flying thousands of miles away from Doherty, who was recently told by a judge to give up drugs or face jail, is the only way that she thinks can help her wean herself off the troubled ‘Babyshambles’ frontman.

They even say that the supermodel uses the term “cold turkey” to describe her dealing with the break-up with Doherty.

“This Caribbean trip shows how serious she is about finally kicking the Pete habit. She is even using the same terminology to describe dealing with the break-up, describing it as going ‘cold turkey.’ She beat the drugs in rehab and now she’s hoping to do the same with Pete,” the Mirror quoted a friend, as saying.

“Kate wants to put distance between her and Pete. She is planning a trip to the tiny island she goes to when she wants to get away from it all. She knows the only way she can cure herself of Pete is by making sure she can’t see him,” the friend added.

Insiders have also revealed that this trip is not just to get “clean” of Pete, but also to think up a plan to make sure that she continues to rule the ramp.

“Kate’s spent the past year looking like some down-and-out groupie. She’s absolutely ridiculously thin, even for her. She’s realised that to stay at the top of her game she has to put the work in. She’s booked a special nutritionist to look at her body,” another friend said.

According to reports, Kurt Cobain’s widow was all over the Babyshambles frontman at a wrap party for the band’s second album.

The party was being held at the band’s recording studio in Henley, and Courtney was one of the first guests to attend it.

“Pete couldn’t escape her. She was all over him like a rash,” the Mirror quoted an insider, as saying.

Meanwhile Love has slammed Dr Marten shoes for carrying a picture of her late husband, Kurt Cobain, in their commercial.

The advertisement, which is out in the UK, features Cobain in an angelic robe, wearing Dr Marten shoes and seated on heavenly clouds.

The singer’s representatives said that the rocker thinks it is ‘outrageous’ that the company tried to commercially gain from the ‘despicable’ use of the late musician’s picture.

Pete Doherty is set to miss the launch of fiancee Kate Moss‘ new fashion range because he is having a new implant fitted to help him quit drugs.

The Babyshambles frontman, who has battled heroin and cocaine addictions, will return to a Midlands clinic today (April 30, 2007) to receive a new implant to help beat drugs.

Kate is due to appear in Topshop’s flagship store in London’s Oxford Street to promote her new fashion line tomorrow (May 1, 2007).

A friend of Pete’s said: “Pete hopes this new implant will help him quit for good.”

The implant, a pellet containing naltrexone, will be inserted under the skin of Pete’s stomach.

The 28-year-old rocker won’t be alone for the procedure. The couple’s cat Dinger – slang for syringe – recently gave birth to five kittens, and the singer has apparently been taking them everywhere with him.

Meanwhile, Kate and Pete have been slammed for encouraging young people to smoke. Anti-smoking charity Ash fumed: “Kids still see smoking as cool and that is down to role models.”

Kate, 33, recently splashed out $8,000 on a pro-smoking piece of artwork for her London home.

The piece, called “Smoking Kills,” features “Liar Liar” star Jennifer Tilly smoking next to dozens of cigarette packets.

Fashionistas will likely queue for hours at the flagship store of the Topshop group in London’s Oxford Street before the official launch Tuesday of a range which has received near-blanket media coverage here since it was announced last September.

The range, which Moss helped to design, features pieces costing between 10 and 200 pounds (15 and 293 euros, 20 and 400 dollars) and will be on sale at 300 stores in Britain, as well at Barneys in the United States, Colette in Paris and Corso Como in Milan, Italy.

Moss is not the first star to put her name to high street clothes — Madonna endorsed a range for Sweden’s H and M, David Beckham helped to design for Marks and Spencer and pop star Lily Allen’s New Look range is out soon.

But some of these have proved more successful than others — the Beckham tie-in received a lukewarm reception, while by contrast, analysts attributed a 17 percent increase in H and M’s March sales to Madonna.

This suggests that, despite the British public’s voracious interest in celebrities, retailers cannot rely on recruiting just any star to endorse their goods — there must be a convincing “fit” between the product and the face.

PR experts say the massive interest in the Moss range came about partly because shoppers find it easy to believe that she herself would wear clothes from the chain.

“The thing about Kate Moss is that she has been seen in stuff she’s bought in thrift shops and vintage,” Sally Sykes, a board member at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, told AFP.

“The point about good PR is that it does have to be grounded in reality.”

Despite the apparently strong match between model and brand, the retail chain did take a calculated risk in signing up Moss, who often attracts disapproving headlines in the British press.

Nicknamed “Cocaine Kate” by the tabloid media after photographs of her apparently taking the drug emerged in 2005, she has been widely criticised for her relationship with troubled pop singer Pete Doherty, a recovering drug addict.

Her modelling career seems unaffected by such claims, though — a situation underlined by her appearance on the front of British Vogue in March modelling a 55-pound black lame minidress.

Graham Hales, of branding consultancy Interbrand, said that Moss’s ability to emerge unscarred from controversy could actually have made her a more appealing figure to shoppers.

“She’s ridden these cycles and she’s been through tests. The whole nature of celebrity requires them to stay in the public eye but the difficulty is that people can disengage from that,” he said.

While Topshop looks set to benefit from its involvement with Moss, Moss will also likely reap the rewards of working with the group, he added.

“They’re such uber-celebrities that they almost want to demonstrate that they’re still in touch with the average man, woman or girl on the street so to a degree it restores their credibility,” he said,

Moss could also use the tie-in to open up other design opportunities for herself, Hales predicted.

And with Allen launching her New Look range and Australian singer Kylie Minogue fronting a swimwear range for H and M in May, the high streets will be dominated by more celebrity tie-ins in coming months.

Far from instilling a “fame fatigue”, though, experts say that the more stores that use starpower to sell their wares, the more persuasive the endorsements will become.

“Given all the noise of these marketing pitches, the clarity of the message becomes vastly more important than in the past,” said Richard Hyman, managing director of Verdict, a retail consultancy.

“You need to have a very focused message that gets across very quickly and I would say that celebrities are the fulcrum of that.”

Pete Doherty says his friends ”have had enough” of him being a drug addict.

Speaking after a court appearance yesterday (04.18.07) the Babyshambles frontman confessed he could lose the people closest to him if he does not kick his habit once and for all.

Pete - who is engaged to supermodel Kate Moss – said: “The people I’m closest to have had enough. They’ve said it’s drugs or them. A lot has changed in the past week.”

The 28-year-old rocker did not divulge whether his comments specifically related to Kate.

The supermodel is said to have previously warned Pete that she would never marry him unless he stop using heroin and crack cocaine.

Earlier this month, Pete confirmed the couple were engaged by publicly referring to Kate as his fiancee at a concert.

Pete – who has had numerous court appearances for drugs-related offences – was praised by the judge for his commitment to stop using drugs.

The rocker – who turned up at Thames Magistrates’ Court 30 minutes late – admitted he was not free of drugs yet, but insisted he was determined to get clean.

He said: “I’m quite keen to show a negative test as soon as possible really.”

District Judge Jane McIvor said: “There’s no obligation for you to turn up to the reviews. The fact you’ve turned up shows cooperation, more than cooperation, and there is no risk of you breaching this order.”

Kate Moss reportedly stormed out of her friend’s birthday party after being struck on the forehead by an ice-cube.

The supermodel was celebrating party planner Fran Cutler’s 44th birthday with a group of pals at London’s Wardour Club when a playful ice fight broke out.

However, the mood darkened when Kate was hit on the head by a flying lump of ice leaving a huge bump. The culprit was believed to be a member of British rock group Kasabian.

One onlooker said: “Kate thought the ice fight was hilarious at first but when one bit of ice hit her really hard her mood changed. She was furious and left.”

Earlier in the evening, it was claimed Kate, 33, had a row with security at the club after they sent boyfriend Pete Doherty to the back of the queue.

The hell-raising star had reportedly been rude to the doormen and they refused to give him VIP treatment.

A source said: “Kate was fuming. She told the doormen to let him in straight away. But they refused, saying he would have to wait. It was really embarrassing.”

Meanwhile, Kate’s new clothing range for TopShop has been panned by American critics.

The New York magazine, labeled her designs a “bore,” and dismissed Croydon-born Kate as “a working-class girl from a crap town.”

Pete Doherty has confirmed he is to wed Kate Moss.

The Babyshambles frontman admitted the pair are engaged when he dedicated a song to “my beautiful fiancee” in front of a thousand fans yesterday (04.11.07).

The romantic gesture came as Pete introduced the track “KP Nuts” during a solo show at London’s Hackney Empire.

A pal said: “While Kate was aboard Pete gorged on junk food because he knows he will be back eating lentils soon.”

Kate already has a four-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, from her relationship with publisher Jefferson Hack.

Pete has a son, Astile, with singer Lisa Moorish, conceived after a brief fling. Moorish also has a daughter, Molly, with Oasis singer Liam Gallagher.

Pete Doherty has admitted he still smokes crack every day.

Despite vowing to kick his cocaine habit for supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss, the Babyshambles rocker has blatantly flaunted his substance abuse.

In an interview with the New York Daily News newspaper, Pete said: “I always stumble back on it sooner or later, even if it’s for half an hour a day.”

The wild rocker even reportedly pulled out a crack pipe and lit up during the interview.

Pete, 28, had impressed a judge during a recent court appearance, who said the star was making huge improvements.

Pete’s drug problem has been the cause of constant friction between him and catwalk beauty Kate, 32 – who is currently in the Caribbean for a modeling assignment.

After Pete was hauled to court yet again for drugs related offences in December, Kate issued her troubled lover with an ultimatum: “It’s me or the drugs.”

The couple have reportedly been engaged for a sometime, but Kate will not commit to marriage while he is still using drugs.

Pete has previously confessed to once turning to selling his body to feed his drugs habit.

He said: “There was no shame, because I kind of knew they were just lonely p***ed-up old queens. And £20 was a lot of money!”

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s new neighbors could be Kate Moss and Pete Doherty.

Kate and Pete have fallen in love with a $10 million mansion just a few doors away from Gwyneth and Chris’ family home in London’s fashionable Belsize Park.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “They are pretty keen on this place on Chris and Gwyneth’s road. They like it because there are options to make it a bit more private.”

“But even if they don’t go for it, Gwyneth and Chris won’t totally escape. All three houses they are considering are within a few streets of each other.”

The supermodel and rocker Pete are planning to take a second look at the five bedroom Grade-II listed Georgian property this week.

If the couple buy it, their other celebrity neighbors, will include Oasis star Noel Gallagher, comedian David Walliams and TV presenter Chris Evans.

Kate and Pete have previously looked at exclusive properties in London’s Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park.

Pete, 28 – who has been in rehab for drug addiction – has promised to clean up his lifestyle for Kate.

He is expected to earn $4 million this year from an upcoming record deal with Parlophone and a tour with his band Babyshambles.

A source revealed: “Pete never even used a bank account, but that has all changed. He used to hate the idea of owning a house. But now he sees it as a wonderful chance to settle down and pledge himself to Kate.”
