Lindsay Lohan was protected from paparazzi by a group of bikers.

The “Mean Girls” actress and her entourage were on their way home after being denied entry to top Hollywood nightclub Villa when they were suddenly surrounded by a swarm of photographers.

When her bodyguard saw a gang of leather-clad motorcyclists, he called them over to scare off the paparazzi.

Gossip website X17Online said of the incident: “After getting denied from Villa, Lindsay and her entourage headed to a private residence in Hollywood, and as they were leaving, Lindsay’s bodyguard called a biker gang to the rescue!”

“Within moments, an army of leather-clad motorcycle men approached the photographers’ cars and began threatening them.”

“The photographers called the cops, but once the officers showed up, they didn’t seem very concerned and no arrests were made.”

Lindsay – who is currently dating DJ Samantha Ronson and has completed three stints in rehab – recently claimed the media’s obsession with her private life has harmed her career.

She said: “There’s not much I can do about the fact that I’ve become a kind of obsession. I can’t change that.”

“And yes, all of that stuff has hurt my career, but I really don’t feel like I should have to prove myself to anyone because of living out my college years in the public eye. I’m glad everything happened the way it did.”

The parents of Britney Spears have said they fear the singer could end up dead after her early release from a psychiatric unit.

Spears had been admitted to hospital for treatment for mental illness but was released 11 days ahead of schedule on a lawyer’s orders.

The singer was released after a court-appointed lawyer overruled Los Angeles hospital staff and ruled there was “no just cause” to keep her.Her father Jamie and mother Lynne said: “We are concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and believe her life is at risk.”

They went on to describe Britney as “an adult child in the throes of a mental health crisis”.

Britney immediately fled the hospital among a sea of paparazzi and headed straight to her lawyer’s office in a bid to wrest control of her estate from her father, who took control of her assets after she was admitted.

The singer’s relationship with her parents is now at an all time low with her mother Lynne battling the singer’s on-off manager, Sam Lufti.

She accuses Lutfi of several things, including moving into Britney’s home, trying to take control of her finances and getting the paparazzi to report to him.

Lutfi has now been issued with a restraining order which bans him from coming within 250 yards of the troubled star, her LA home, her family members or the hospital she is staying in since being admitted for psychiatric evaluation.

The 26-year-old chart-topping singer has seen her personal life descend into turmoil since her divorce from Kevin Federline in 2006.

She was hospitalised in early January for a mental evaluation after a row involving the custody of her children.

She was discharged after a brief period and then went back last week for another psychiatric evaluation.

All eyes were on Jessica Alba at the premiere of Lionsgate and Paramount Vantage’s horror pic “The Eye” at the Cinerama Dome on Thursday night.

“I’ve wanted to work in this genre for a while but I don’t think you need to see someone get mutilated in order to see a good, scary movie,” said Alba, who in addition to fighting off a swarm of paparazzi anxious to photograph the pregnant actress, had to contend with the nasty flu that’s been circulating Hollywood since the Sundance crowd returned.

Britney Spears arrived in court in Los Angeles in a bid to regain her rights to visit her two young children.

But Superior Court spokesman Alan Parachini said that less than half an hour after Spears went into the building, she left it.

The troubled pop star is fighting an order by LA Superior Court commissioner Scott Gordon to suspend her rights to visit her two sons – one-year-old Jayden James and two-year-old Sean Preston – and keep them in the custody of her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Spears, 26, evaded the waiting paparazzi on Wednesday by entering the court through a basement parking garage.

The star, wearing bright lipstick, sunglasses and a very short black cocktail dress with a ruffled hem, arrived about 30 minutes later than her ex-husband Mr Federline.

As her case was called, Spears’ lawyer Anne Kiley was allowed to try to find her client.

Around 20 minutes later, Ms Kiley said Spears was not present and that she did not know whether she would turn up.

Later, Mr Parachini said the commissioner took notice of Spears’ absence and went ahead with the hearing, but decided to make no changes in the order suspending her rights to see her children.

Earlier this month, the court commissioner decided to keep the order in effect after Spears made a flying visit to the courthouse, but left without entering the court.

During an incident at her home on the night of January 3, Spears locked herself in a room with one of the boys and was later taken to a hospital in an ambulance chased by photographers.

Actress Sienna Miller today won a High Court order against a photographer who snapped photographs of her undressing during the filming of her latest movie, Hippie Hippie Shake.

Miller, 26, who has already won a £37,500 payout from News Group Newspapers and the Xposure together with an undertaking not to use the pictures again, took action against photographer Warren Richardson over the snaps, taken on the film’s closed set on a private estate in Surrey.

Representing her in her privacy claim at London’s High Court today, David Sherborne told Mr Justice Eady that Ms Miller was “extremely distressed” by the “highly intrusive” pictures of her removing her clothes and entering a lake.

Arguing that Richardson had no possible defence to the claim for invasion of privacy and breach of confidence, he said they were taken without her consent using a long lens.

He continued: “Her distress was further aggravated, not only by the flagrant disregard of her rights, but the context in which the photos were taken – the constant climate of harassment and intrusiveness which she has had to suffer, particularly from the paparazzi in frightening and relentless attempts to get photos of her, exceeding what could possibly be expected to be tolerated, even given her high profile as an actress.”

The judge ruled that it was “entirely appropriate” to make the orders sought against Richardson, who represented himself. He will now have to hand over the photos to Ms Miller.

Mr Richardson may have to pay damages, to be assessed at a later date, and was ordered to foot the bill for the costs of the hearing within four months.

Britney Spears continues to make the headlines after being photographed shopping for a pregnancy test.

After she saw her visitation rights to her two sons suspended following a stand-off with police the singer may have wanted to keep a low profile.

The star was hospitalised recently after refusing to hand over her two sons Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James, when police reputedly found her under the influence of an “unidentified substance”.

But the 26-year-old has opted to keep herself in the news by making a very visible trip to a pharmacy with her new boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.

Spears and 35-year-old Ghalib were snapped clearly scanning the shelves of the Rite Aid store in Studio City, California, for home pregnancy tests.

However, the veracity of the pictures is cast into doubt by Ghalib’s involvement – the photos were reportedly released by his own photo agency, FinalPixx.

Britney’s cousin and former assistant Alli Sims has recently hit out at Ghalib’s involvement in the Toxic star’s life, saying he has “bad intentions”.

Simms told Us Weekly: “I do not think Adnan is a good person… He has given me a weird feeling and creeped me out. I wish he would just go away.”

But Simms denied that Spears’ public meltdown had anything to do with drug abuse, despite the fact that the ruling judge in Spears’ custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline has labelled her a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of controlled substances and alcohol.

“I do not think that is the issue at all,” Simms said. “I was with her for eight months pretty much every day and never witnessed anything like that – and I lived there.”

The actress is confused about the Britney’s relationship with the photogs, who follow her everywhere.

According to Arquette, the singer is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, which is common among hostages and abuse victims, who show loyalty towards their captor/abuser.

“When you see her seeming like she’s friends with the paparazzi, she’s got, like, Stockholm Syndrome,” Contactmusic quoted Arquette, as saying.

“I mean she’s becoming friends with her captors. She’s being torn apart by this business,” she added.

Spears is reportedly dating Ghalib, who was once among the photographers keeping a track of the singer’s every step.

Britney Spears snubbed her paparazzi buddies on New Year’s Eve by enjoying a quiet night in with her two sons and rumoured new love interest, photographer Adnan Ghalib.

The Piece Of Me singer and Ghalib – who reportedly spent Saturday night together at Beverly Hills’ Peninsula Hotel – saw in 2008 at a private beach front residence near Dana Point, California, with her two children, Sean Preston, two, and 15-month-old Jayden James.

A source said: “They just had a quiet night in together. Her and Adnan are getting on really well.

She reportedly spent one whole night with Adnan at the Peninsula hotel, where they spent several hours together.

A fellow photographer revealed that the 26-year-old singer admitted to dating Adnan.

“She said ‘yes,’ they were dating but I don’t know if she was joking,” the New York Post quoted the photographer as saying.

Another photographer said that he would not be surprised if there was any truth in it, for Adnan and a fellow paparazzo Filipe had developed proximity with Britney after weeks of covering her.

“Adnan always asked her questions and she liked the attention and answered,” the photographer said.

From the looks of it, Suri Cruise is the envy of toddlers all over America. Earlier this week, she was treated to a Spice Girls concert, and yesterday mommy Katie Holmes took her shopping all over Hollywood.

Things got ugly for Pretty Woman star, Julia Roberts, when a paparazzo reportedly tried filming Roberts near a school.

The 40-year-old actress was fuming after seeing a cameraman snapping footage of her near her children’s school.

Inside Edition showed the video footage to Lou Palumbo, a security consultant for a number of Hollywood celebrities, and his reaction was surprising.

“She didn’t point out and say, ‘You’re annoying me; you’re taking pictures of my kids; you’re not letting me drive my car.”

According to Palumbo, the laws regarding children are clearly defined and, although he understood Roberts’ anger, she didn’t clearly define what the paparazzo was doing. As a result, Palumbo implies that pressing charges could be difficult.

One paparazzo shouldn’t annoy you that much. Maybe Julia should walk a few miles in Britney’s shoes.

Nicole Kidman shocked on-lookers with her see-through dress when she arrived at the ARIA awards in Sydney.

The Aussie actress was wearing a short black dress, which was almost completely transparent and clearly showed her black thong and bra set underneath.

Kidman spent a full five minutes posing for photographs and signing autographs without realising that the noisy reception at Sydney’s Acer Arena was because of her dress.

After realising the fashion faux pas at the awards, Kidman and Urban fell down in fits of giggles.

‘The Others’ star had joined her hubby at the music awards ceremony, in which Urban won in best country album category for ‘Love, Pain and The Whole Crazy Thing. Urban dedicated his award to his wife, calling Kidman his inspiration.

“She was the inspiration for it. She is very prevalent in most of the songs,” the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying.

At a Friday morning hearing, Britney Spears’ lawyer was expected to argue that the pop star has complied with court orders and should regain the shared custody she lost earlier this month.

Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who has said there is evidence that Britney Spears is a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of drugs and alcohol, withdrew approval for her to even visit the children after finding she had failed to comply with some conditions for shared custody.

He later withdrew the ban and allowed her to visit Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1 — but only in the presence of a court-approved monitor. The order by Gordon was tough and unambiguous.

Spears was to undergo random drug and alcohol tests and meet weekly with a parenting coach who would report back to the court about her parenting skills. Spears and Federline also were prohibited from making derogatory remarks about each other in their children’s presence and from using “corporal punishment” to discipline them.

Both parents also were ordered to complete the court’s “Parenting Without Conflict” class.

The custody fight has played out on a public stage, with paparazzi and celebrity Web sites reporting on the former couple’s every move — including sightings of Spears driving with her sons and a monitor in Beverly Hills.

On Thursday, another Spears lawyer entered a not guilty plea for her on a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid driver’s license.

Michael Flanagan said Spears recently obtained a California license and he hoped the charge would be dismissed.

At the same hearing, a Superior Court judge dismissed a hit-and-run charge stemming from an Aug. 6 accident. Flanagan said his client had paid an undisclosed amount to the woman whose car the star hit in a Studio City parking lot.

British tabloid newspapers opted not to publish paparazzi pictures of Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton on Saturday after he complained they had been aggressively pursued by photographers.

William, second in line to the throne, said that paparazzi had chased the couple on motorbikes and in cars as they were driven away from a London nightclub, just days after an inquest opened into his mother’s death in a high-speed crash.

Princess Diana and her lover Dodi al-Fayed were killed when their Mercedes limousine crashed in a Paris tunnel in 1997 while being chased by paparazzi.

“Having already been photographed leaving a club, he and Kate Middleton were then pursued in his car by photographers on motorcycles, in vehicles and on foot,” the prince’s press secretary Paddy Harverson said in a statement.

“This aggressive pursuit was potentially dangerous, and worrying for them. It seems incomprehensible, particularly at this time, that this behavior is still going on.”

Supermodel Carmen Electra was not too excited to pose for the camera recently, although she never ceases to please the paparazzi.

The former Baywatch babe performed at 2(x)ist Fashion Week show on Sep 11, where she posed on a hoop that was suspended a death-defying 2 feet off the catwalk.

But photographers covering the show were taken aback when they learned that they had to sign a legal agreement calling for a limited coverage of the event.

Snappers were supposed to take pictures of just the underwear models who walked in the show.

The contract insisted that the photogs would be levied with a 25,000-dollar fine if they violated the agreement.

Sole rights for video were assigned to Wire Image, and for stills to Michael Simon, who happens to be the brother of Electra’s manager, Stephanie Simon.

“It’s completely ridiculous. Why would you cover the show if you can’t take a picture of the only celebrity?” the New York daily News quoted veteran photographer Steve Sands, as saying.

However, Carmen’s rep responded by saying that it wasn’t an unusual thing to ask for approval over photos.

“Carmen is known for being very gracious to photographers. It is not unusual to request approval over photos being shot of a performance, and we requested the [lensmen] who Carmen was most comfortable with. The media was invited backstage to interview and shoot Carmen after the performance,” the rep said.

The snapper said that when the actor saw him taking his snaps, he started accusing him of being a ‘paedophile who wanted to take pics of his kids’.

“I was at a bus stop near Jude’s house but I wasn’t taking pictures of him. My camera was still in the bag. He was by himself when he recognised me and started accusing me of being a paedophile and that all I wanted to do was take pictures of his children,” Contactmusic quoted the photog, as saying.

“He then punched me in the face and started kicking me. I was shocked at his behaviour. You would expect that sort of behaviour from a yob, not from a big Hollywood actor,” he said.

A police spokesperson said that the police was called in to the spot.

“Police were called out in to the Maida Vale area after reports of a disturbance and inquiries are being made,’ the spokesperson said.
Law was taken to Marylebone police station on the suspicion of causing bodily harm.

The actor, who was let out on bail after being fingerprinted, is now set to appear in front of police officials next month.

Sienna Miller gave vent to her contempt for photographers by calling them “rapists.”The Factory Girl actress, who looked totally under the influence, was at the opening of her new fashion shop Twenty8Twelve in London’s smart Notting Hill with good “friend” Rhys Ifans.

According to sources, Sienna lost it and launched a foul-mouthed rant at the snappers. “F*** off, you f***ing ****s. See you in court, you f***ing rapists,” Miller was quoted shouting at the photogs.

One snapper, who was present at the launch, said that he was offended and shocked by the outburst.”I was quite flabbergasted. We were just doing our jobs, all we were trying to do was get some quotes on how the opening of the shop went and she called us all rapists,” The Sun quoted the photographer, as saying.

“It’s an outrageous term to use for such a petty little thing as being at a party and being photographed. It was completely the wrong context to use that word,” he said.
