Joss Stone is reportedly dating Nelly.The British soul singer has been on several secret dates with the 33-year-old US rap star – who is 12 years her senior – and is said to be smitten with him.

A source revealed: “Joss and Nelly have been out on a few dates. It’s early days but Joss is really happy.”

“It’s great that she has met someone as successful as she is and who understands the pressures of being a performer.”

Joss, 21, is also reducing her hectic work schedule this year so she can have more time for herself, and spend more time with “Work It” rapper Nelly.

The source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Her life has been like a whirlwind since she shot to fame at 14.”

“Joss is determined to devote more time to herself, and if a little romance enters her life along the way who can blame her.”

Joss hasn’t had a serious relationship since splitting from her long-term love Beau Dozier – the son of Motown songwriter-and-producer Lamont – in 2005.

Earlier this year, the “You Had Me” singer insisted she hated men, because they were incapable of treating her well.

She said: “I’ve had kind of bad luck with boys, they just don’t tend to be too kind to me. I don’t know why, maybe it’s something I do?”

Last year, Joss joked her luck with men was so bad she was considering becoming a lesbian.

The music star – who recently performed at a Hollywood awards ceremony for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation – quipped: “Every girl my age wants to be in a relationship, but I haven’t had one for two years.”

“I think I’ll have to turn lesbian!”

Nelly Furtado’s latest concert ended in a riot.The “Maneater” singer was playing in Moscow, Russia, on Sunday (July 13, 2008) when Russian rapper Timati tried to get on stage to perform a planned set with her.

However, venue officials refused to let Timati near the singer, leading to Nelly’s security team becoming involved in an altercation.

The incident quickly descended into a brawl reportedly involving up to 20 people.

Nelly carried on singing to try to divert attention from the fight, which eventually ended with some of the crowd getting covered in blood and Timati losing a tooth.

The rapper said: “I know who was behind it. They will be punished.”

Timati is a huge celebrity in Russia and owns a club and a record label.

An official at the venue said: “We learned at the last moment he was going to perform with Furtado. I gave the order not to let him get on stage.”

Ashanti has hinted she wants to marry Nelly.

The 27-year-old singer refused to confirm she is dating the 33-year-old rapper, but insists she spends a lot of time with him and would love to settle down soon.

When asked if she was engaged to Nelly, Ashanti held up her left hand to show a bare ring finger and laughed: “Oh no. Noooo!”

“No engagement. But definitely in the future. Ha ha!”

She added to People magazine: “Me and Nelly, we’re good friends. We kick it – hang out a lot.”

“The industry is very hard, so it’s good to have fun and lighten it up.”

Ashanti also revealed how the couple relax after a hard day’s work.

She added: “The one thing we do a lot of lately is listen to my new album, ‘The Declaration.’”

It was reported earlier this year the couple had got engaged, but the story was later denied.

Justin Timberlake is writing songs for Madonna.

The Grammy award-winning star has revealed he is collaborating with Madonna on her new album, and was in a London studio with her yesterday (04.10.07).

Justin told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “I have been working on some new music. But it’s not for myself – I’m writing for other people. I’m working on some stuff for Madonna.”
