So we cheer the more modest proclivity of Ms. Allen. If you’re going to perform in your skivvies in front of strangers at Somerset House in London, why not do it in pretty lace?

That jacket is a fantastic cut, too, and makes the ensemble look more flirty, less hooker-y.

Lily Allen was thrown out of a Dublin hotel room after a foul-mouthed outburst.

The “Fear” singer – who had been partying in the Irish city with friends – raided DJ Felix Da Housecat’s hotel room causing security to be called when he feared she was a crazed fan.

The 23-year-old banged on the DJ’s door and shouted and swore at him before she was dragged away by her guitarist. She screamed: “F**k Felix Da Housecat!”

After their confrontation, the DJ wrote on his Twitter web page: “Why is it all the freaks come out at night? She won’t remember a damn thing in the morning…cuz she was f***ed up!! (sic)”

This is the second time in recent weeks Lily has got into trouble.

Earlier this month, the singer punched, kicked and threw a water bottle at a photographer after he drove into her car as she arrived at a recording studio.

A source said: “The guy’s car nudged Lily’s and the next thing anyone knew she was out and flailing. Her security team had to pull her off. She was punching and kicking.”

“She’s not someone who will take something like that lying down. She certainly let the bloke know what she thought of him.”

The “Fear” singer – who has sold millions of records worldwide –is struggling in the current economic climate and has even had to sell her beloved $50,000 BMW 320 convertible car.

She said: “I’ve been hit big time by the credit crunch. Actually, I just had to sell my car because I’m so broke.”

“I bought a car last year and that was probably my biggest extravagance. I can’t even spend on credit cards. I’m waiting until I get the royalties from the album and all the radio plays but that takes about a year.”

“The banks will usually front your money in that kind of situation but they are not lending at the moment so it’s a tricky time.”

Lily is so worried about her financial situation she is even looking into an alternative career as a baker.

She added: “I’m really enjoying my life but if it lasts, it lasts, and if it doesn’t I’ll find something else. There’s always a cake shop. I really like baking.”

However, despite enjoying huge success with her current album “It’s Not Me, It’s You,” the 23-year-old star – who is currently single following a brief relationship with 45-year-old art dealer Jay Jopling – claims her career isn’t her main focus.

She said: “Isn’t the point of life to find a partner? That’s the idea, isn’t it?”

“I don’t know if I want to get married. I know I want to be falling in love, that’s the good s**t.”

Lily Allen is already regretting her latest tattoo.

Both Lily and US actress Lindsay Lohan recently got “shhh…” tattooed on their index fingers after a drunken night partying in Los Angeles.

But Lily didn’t realize she was actually a copying “Umbrella” singer Rihanna, who had the design etched on last year.

She said: “I’ve since found out Rihanna’s got the same thing, so it’s not really – I mean she’s very cool – but I thought I was being original.”

Friends are saying Lily is a bad influence on Lindsay and the actress’ girlfriend Samantha Ronson is regretting introducing the pair.

Lily worked with Samantha’s brother Mark on her debut album “Alright, Still,” and is good friends with them.

Sam recently played an acoustic show in Los Angeles and dedicated a song with lyrics about being “out of control” to Lindsay – leading to another in a long line of blazing rows between the couple.

The 22-year-old singer – who has unveiled a slimmer physique after embarking on a healthy eating plan recently – is desperate to star alongside Daniel Craig in the next British spy movie.

She said: “Any girl would admit she wants to appear in a Bond film. I’m no different.”

She revealed: “Really, I love the show. It’s well-written and has a great cast, and I think I’d be great in it.”

The 22-year-old had discovered she was pregnant with the Chemical Brothers star’s baby just a month after they began dating.

But it has emerged that the strain of Lily’s miscarriage damaged the coupling, with Simons, 37, allegedly ending the relationship after failed attempts to recover their romance.

“They tried to make things work but couldn’t,” a friend told the Sun newspaper

“The miscarriage was a horrible experience for both of them – and in recent weeks the mood between them had been really strained.”

The source added: “Lily is really upset things haven’t worked out for her and Ed. She had talked about settling down for good and having a family.

“But there is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship.”

After the revelation of her pregnancy in December, Allen even said she was willing to retire in her mid-20s in order to focus on raising a family.

She told the Sun: “I’ve looked forward to being stable my whole life. My parents are amazing, but it has been a whirlwind upbringing.

“I have got my eye on the prize, which is having kids and getting married and cooking dinner and doing homework with my children.”

British pop star Lily Allen is “thrilled” about the prospect of her impending motherhood.

The Smile singer, 22, found out she was expecting The Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons’ child last month (Nov07), and until now, had only revealed the news to close family members, including her actor father Keith.

But the story was broken by British tabloid The Sun on Wednesday morning (19Dec07), and a spokesman for the happy couple has now confirmed the news.

The representative says, “(Allen and Simons are) obviously both thrilled by the news.

“As the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage, the couple ask that you respect their privacy, as the health of Lily and their child is their paramount concern.” Allen has been dating Simons, 37, since September (07).

London-based pop sensation Lily Allen is all set to get her own BBC TV show next year.

Reports claim that the star, currently dealing with visa problems in the US, has been in talks with the British broadcasters.

According to sources, Allen met with BBC3 boss Danny Cohen last week, and BBC insiders have said that Cohen was “impressed” with the young star’s “mature approach to life” and is keen on signing her up.

“He’s checked out her MySpace blog and thinks she’s just the kind of articulate young person the channel needs. Its early days but he’s very keen,” Contactmusic quoted a source, as saying.

It is believed that the 22-year-old will focus the show on teenage problems such as weight and relationships.

The news follows a string of TV appearances from Allen, including being a guest on Jonathan Ross’s BBC chat show and hosting an episode for Channel 4 show The Friday Night Project.
