The “Desperate Housewives” star has denied rumors she has been offered a part in the upcoming comic book adaptation “Avengers” as Wasp, but admits the idea sounds very tempting.

She said: “I would love to do something like that role. I love comic book movies and it might be fun to be a wasp and buzz around in a yellow and black suit.”

The star sparked rumors she was set to play the part when she was spotted leaving the Los Angeles offices of Marvel Comics clutching a stack of the books.

Wasp – real name Janet Van Dyne – is a superheroine who is at the center of the “Avengers” stories. She has the ability to contract her body to around half an inch or lengthen it to several hundred feet to help her fight crime.

The film – which will also feature characters including The Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man – is due for release in 2011, the same year in which Eva’s hit US TV show “Desperate Housewives” is expected to finish.

The 33-year-old beauty added to America’s Glamour magazine: “Marriage is a commitment, so you always have to work at it.”

“For us, just juggling schedules is the biggest obstacle we have, and we don’t even really have a problem with that either.”

“I take it day by day. Tony and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time.”

Eva Longoria has reportedly been banned from having sex with husband Tony Parker.

Hayden Panettiere’s father Alan was released from custody yesterday (August 11, 2008) after being accused of hitting her mother.

Alan, who allegedly struck his wife Lesley “two or three times” in the face during an argument in the early hours of yesterday morning, spent around 10 hours in Los Angeles County sheriff’s custody before being booked on a charge of domestic violence and released on $50,000 bail.

Steve Whitmore, a spokesperson for the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department, said: “We don’t know if the victim is going to pursue the charges.”

“Anytime there is a domestic allegation, the victim is offered an emergency protection order, basically a restraining order. She declined it. She also declined medical treatment.”

“The victim did have visible injuries and we also believe alcohol was involved. That will be part of the investigation.”

Alan and Lesley put on a united front following his release from custody. The pair were seen laughing and smiling together while walking their dogs near their Los Angeles home.

Lesley covered her eyes with a large pair of white sunglasses, showing no sign of the alleged injuries.

Meanwhile, Hayden’s close friend, actor Mario Lopez, has played down the incident, insisting the couple are happily married.

He said: “Alan and Lesley told me it was all a big misunderstanding and that nothing actually happened.”

“In fact Lesley wasn’t even aware that Alan had been arrested. Hayden found out about her Dad’s arrest when he called her from jail.”

The “Desperate Housewives” actress and former Spice Girls star are planning to team up to open a unique nightspot in Las Vegas.

The venue will include a restaurant, Beso II – the second eatery in Eva’s Beso franchise – and a casino.

The pair’s decision to turn half the business into a casino is said to be due to their interest in dominoes, after Hollywood couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore introduced them to the game.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Eva and Victoria are obsessed with the game and spend most of their evenings going out for a civilized meal and then getting stuck into a meaty tournament. But they realized there are no venues which provide dinner and focus on this new Hollywood craze.”

“So when Eva said she was opening a new branch of Beso in the gambling capital of the world, Victoria had the brainwave of turning it into a place which specializes in food and their favorite game.”

“Eva will oversee the restaurant, while Victoria channels her energies into the casino.”

Other games reportedly set to be offered in the casino include Mah Jong, Chicken foot and Cut-Throat.

Beso II will serve food by celebrity chef Todd English and specialize in the same Latin infusion made famous by the original restaurant.

Rather than making an official announcement, a sign was placed on the establishment’s door which said: “Madre’s will be closed Monday through Sunday starting July 1st, 2008, until further notice.”

Madre’s – which means “mothers” in Spanish – was inspired by Lopez’s grandmother Julia Rodriguez, who died last October.

Eva Longoria Parker had no Clue. Fresh from a birthday bash in Miami, the 33-year-old Desperate Housewives star arrived at the San Antonio airport Sunday – completely unaware of the intricate celebration hubby Tony Parker had planned in their hometown.

The party, elaborate even by Hollywood standards, involved surprise visits from friends and family, an Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt, a lavish dinner at a castle and a real-life version of the Clue board game.

“Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, all of them were there,” says the guest. “But there’s no Tony. Although there was a Spurs coyote – the Spurs mascot – in the crowd.”

The actress then headed to a local hotel, where she met up with friends, including actress Lake Bell, who had been flown in for the surprise. The pals were then divided up into teams for a city-wide scavenger hunt which ended up at a steakhouse.

Before the party could continue, the birthday girl had to watch a video and answer questions from the still-MIA Parker.

Says the guest: “It was stuff like, what was the first place we had our date? IHOP. What was the movie we saw together? National Treasure. What’s my favorite color? Red. She got them all right.”

San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker fears he’ll be too old to play professionally if he and his new wife wait too long to become parents.

And his actress wife says: “Tony wants his children to be able to see him play… and I’d like lots of little TP juniors.”

But Longoria insists rumours she is already with child are premature – she is just fat.

The Latina admits she has gained weight during a hiatus from ‘Desperate Housewives’, brought about by the ongoing Hollywood writers strike.

She explains: “We’ve been on strike, so I’ve been home in Texas. I’ve gained 10 pounds just cooking and eating.”

Eva Longoria has angrily hit out at a French model who claims she slept with actress’s husband following her July wedding to Tony Parker.

The Desperate Housewives star, 32, slammed the allegations reportedly made by, Alexandra Paressant, saying:

‘These allegations are completely, 100% false and untrue.’ In a statement she said: ‘All high profile couples fall victim to these sorts of things in the course of their relationships.’

She also insisted her NBA basketball hubby has always played by the rules, insisting: ‘Tony has been nothing short of the perfect husband.’

The actress’s heated rebuke follows claims allegedly made by 26-year-old Alexandra, who says she dated Parker for two months after the couple wed in Paris.

Paressant also claims she herself attended the couple’s wedding saying the Spurs played gazed at her throughout.

She then says Parker later gave her a private tour of his and Longoria’s new Texas mansion a month later.

But Parker himself also furiously shot down the model’s story, saying: ‘People can think whatever they want.’
