Renee Zellweger reckons her life is in such good order that she doesn’t need to make New Year’s Resolutions.

The 38-year-old’s most famous character Bridget Jones made a long lists of resolutions in her diary each year.

Renee declared: “I don’t do New Year’s resolutions. If it needs fixing I just fix it when I need to.”

The actress – who split from country singer husband Kenny Chesney after just four months in 2005 – is spend the Christmas holidays with her family.

But she probably won’t be helping out in the kitchen.

She said: “I am celebrating Christmas with my family. I cook occasionally, if they trust me. I am a good cook, but it depends on what I’m making.”

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she will have a pizza ready in case her first attempt at Christmas dinner fails.

The actress is cooking turkey and the trimmings for partner Brad Pitt and their four children but wants to have a spare meal nearby if anything goes wrong.

She told the Sunday Express: “I’ve never really cooked before. But this year I’m going to try to cook a turkey with the kids.

“In case it doesn’t work out, we’ll have a pizza waiting.”

The couple’s biological daughter Shiloh was recently named the ‘world’s most influential infant’ in a poll by Forbes magazine.

Jim Carrey will star in a special effects-heavy adaptation of “A Christmas Carol,” which Robert Zemeckis will direct for Walt Disney Pictures.

Carrey will play Scrooge, the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas future.

Production will incorporate performance capture, and blend live action and computer-generated imagery, building on techniques used for Zemeckis’ “The Polar Express” and upcoming “Beowulf,” as well as “Monster House,” which he executive produced with Steven Spielberg.

Zemeckis wrote the screenplay for the film, which will be made for a 3-D stereoscopic release. A release date has not been set.

Several Web sites have reported that Bob Hoskins — who worked with Zemeckis on “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” — might play Mr. Fezziwig in the film, but Disney said no official dealmaking has begun with the British actor.

Carrey’s upcoming projects include “Ripley’s Believe It or Not,” and providing the voice of Horton for the animated film “Horton Hears a Who.” His more recent credits include “The Number 23″ and “Fun With Dick and Jane.”
