Closing out the week with a retail excursion, Christina Aguilera ventured over to the Fred Segal boutique in West Hollywood on Friday (March 30).

Joined by a male companion, the “Burlesque” babe looked colorful in an unbuttoned purple sweater overtop a black dress with a skull design adorning the front while capping off her ensemble with a snazzy fedora.

Later in the evening, Christina joined up with boyfriend Matt Rutler, as the pair hit up Taste restaurant for a delectable dinner.

Miss Aguilera’s doings come as she’s gearing up for this Monday’s (April 2) episode of “The Voice” – which happens to be the first week of live performances.

Christina Aguilera wore a bathrobe as she left Smashbox Studios near LA yesterday. It was one of her first outings since her run-in with the law earlier this week, when she and boyfriend Matthew Rutler were arrested for public intoxication on Tuesday. The duo were released from jail shortly afterward, and both of their mugshots have since surfaced. Christina’s friends have shared their concern for her well-being, but it looks like the singer’s trying to move forward with a new job as a judge on The Voice.

The singer – whose new single ‘Not Myself Tonight’ shows the pop star in a number of racy and provocative outfits – admitted shooting the video for the raunchy song was ”torture” because of the tight latex clothing.

She said: ”For my video shoot I didn’t go to bed until five in the morning… in the freezing rain, in the cold, wearing a two-piece red latex outfit. Torture! I got nauseous with exhaustion from the video shoot. It was just a long day. Did I get a skin allergy from the latex? I did get a little bit of a rash at one point. Where? Next question!”

The 29-year-old beauty- who has a two-year-old son, Max, with her music producer husband Jordan Bratman – admitted her spouse loves to see her in fetish clothing, although she wouldn’t like it if he tried to return the favour.

She said: ”It’s beautiful…I’m really into fetish gear and latex is really making a strong statement for me. Good body contours. Has my husband worn it? I would not know! And I’ll never know! You don’t want to get your b**ls caught in that.”

The only time Christina hasn’t worn such provocative outfits is when she was pregnant.

She added to Q magazine: ”Have I ever toned it down? Never! Well, maybe when I was pregnant. There was no latex then.”

The “Beautiful” singer – who will release her fourth LP, “Bionic,” in March – says her sound has changed dramatically since she became a mother to her 23-month-old son Max.

She told Marie Claire magazine: “I had a really hard time being light before. I’d get a little weird about it being too cliched. My first record was very cliched pop – what everyone else wanted.”

“‘Stripped’ was inspired by a lot of pain and ‘Back to Basics’ still had some sort of relation to my past. My new one is just about the future – my son in my life, motivating me to want to play and have fun.”

“Things that maybe I’ve been afraid to do in the past, to allow myself to go to a place of ‘less singing.’ I’m more vulnerable and stronger at the same time.”

It seems motherhood is now having a different effect Christina – who is married to music producer Jordan Bradman – since she started recording the LP.

In October, the 29-year-old pop star claimed it would be “unfair” if she changed her career or style just because she had a family.

Asked how becoming a mom had affected her attitude to work, she said: “As far as motherhood affecting me creatively goes – like, I shouldn’t be wearing that because I’m a mom – it hasn’t.”

“That wouldn’t be fair to me. It’s important to keep a strong sense of yourself when you’re a mom. You’re still you.”

Christina Aguilera has ”a newfound respect” for her body after giving birth to son Max Liron in January.

The “Dirrty” singer – who welcomed son Max Liron, her first child with husband Jordan Bratman, into the world in January – was amazed at how much the female anatomy could endure during labor.

She said: “I really have a newfound respect for the female body after going through this process. I still have a way to go with losing the weight but I will start working out and boxing soon, but I’m not going to go crazy about it.”

Christina also revealed how she managed to lose her post-pregnancy pounds. She added: “I had to really curb my love for junk food.”

“And it’s not just about looking good. I don’t want to get heart disease or cancer. It’s important to take care of yourself – especially as a woman.”

Christina Aguilera says ”playing board games” helps keep her marriage to Jordan Bratman alive.

The 27-year-old singer – who gave birth to Max, her first child with Jordan, in January – revealed the couple have frequent “date nights,” and love competing against each other in a variety of games.

She said: “I have the most wonderful partner in Jordan. We make it a priority to work on our marriage. You have to take it seriously and respect each other and be a team.”

“We always have date nights as well – it helps to keep the marriage alive after you have kids. My husband and I love to play board games together!”

Christina also revealed she is keen to extend her brood because she has found being a mother such a rewarding experience. Read more »
