Charlize Theron wants a baby.

The “Burning Plain” star would love to have children with her long-term partner Stuart Townsend but is in no rush to get pregnant.

Charlize, 33, said: “I’ve always known that I wanted to be a mom. I love children. I’ve always loved children.”

“But I’m not like, ‘Oh my god, I really must have kids right now.’ I’ve never felt this pressing urge that some biological clock is ticking.”

“We both want to be parents one day, but I’ve no idea when that will be.”

The 33-year-old actress – who has dated Stuart for eight years – says her life changed completely the day they met.

She told Marie Claire magazine: “Since I’ve been with Stuart, my vulnerability has become something I’m more comfortable with.”

“I think there’s a part of me that is very much a survivor. I don’t know if it was in my genes, I don’t know what it is.”

“But I guess being young and starting out in a sense of, ‘I’m not going to be a wallflower, and I’m not going to be messed with.’”

“That was the only way I knew how to survive at that time.”

“But all that has changed since I’ve been with Stuart. I don’t feel like I’m in survival mode any more. I feel like it’s OK, I can breathe, so I’m very grateful to him.”

Charlize Theron finds it easy to go naked on screen.

The actress found it harder to convey her character’s emotion in new movie “The Burning Plain” – in which she plays a self-abusing, sex addicted mother – than take her clothes off.

She said: “Being naked is one of those things I think people think of in an isolated, compartmentalized way, but sometimes it’s harder to do a scene where you have to bear a raw emotion of pain or vulnerability.”

“That kind of nakedness is sometimes much harder than taking your clothes off.”

Oscar winner Charlize, who co-produced “The Burning Plain,” also revealed she never thought she would ever step behind the camera on her films.

The 33-year-old star added: “If you’ asked me ten years ago if I would produce, I probably would have said, ‘You’re crazy.’”

“But it’s become one of those things that the older I’ve gotten and the more I’ve done this, the more I realize I love film making.”

“It’s not the idea of playing a role and showing up and just acting and doing my thing, it’s the collaborative aspect of it that I really love.”

Charlize Theron only knows ”dirty stuff” in Spanish.

The 33-year-old actress’ new movie “The Burning Plain” includes lots of Spanish dialog, and when Mexican director Guillermo Arriaga realized she couldn’t speak the language he decided to teach her some naughty words.

She told BANG Showbiz: “Of course he taught me some dirty stuff! He had a really good friend with him and I was kind of like this little messenger between them.”

“Guillermo’s friend Adrian would be like, ‘Go to Guillermo and say, blah blah blah.’ I’d be the little person rushing over to Guillermo saying the words really loud, and half the crew understood.”

Charlize admits she was “embarrassed” at not being able to converse with Guillermo in his native tongue, especially as she convinced herself she would learn the language before shooting began.

She said: “I’m really embarrassed to say I don’t speak Spanish.”

“I’ve lived in California for eight years and I just think it should be a prerequisite – you should be able to speak Spanish if you live in California.”

“I had this fantasy that I would learn Spanish before I shot the movie with him, that he would be really impressed with me, that he could direct me in Spanish. Of course it never happened.”

Charlize Theron is sick of being linked with ”doom and gloom.”

The South African-born actress – who played a serial killer in “Monster” and a mine worker who was sexually harassed in “North Country” – accepts her most famous movies have involved depressing storylines.

Charlize – who portrays a woman with a troubled childhood in new movie “The Burning Plain” – said: “I am starting to figure that if there is a woman in a doom and gloom scenario, my name comes up.”

The 33-year-old Oscar winner is now hoping to break away from making serious movies and experiment with lighter projects.

Charlize said on British TV show “Richard and Judy”: “The next one has to be a comedy. I’ve always let it be known that I would love to do a musical.”

The blonde beauty recently revealed she would love to team up with Will Smith for a sequel to superhero movie “Hancock.”

She said: “If everybody was on board, yeah, I’d do it. I would be an idiot not to do it. Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride.”

Charlize Theron has always wanted children.

Academy Award winning actress Charlize Theron paid a visit to the Lone Star state over the weekend for a screening of her latest theatrical piece, “Battle In Seattle”.

As part of the AFI Film Festival closing night ceremony in Dallas, Texas, Charlize playfully posed on the red carpet and greeted fans before making her way into the screening room for the night’s festivities.

A fashionably late Paris Hilton declared Harvard to be “hot” Wednesday when she stopped by the world-famous university to pick up the Harvard Lampoon’s Woman of the Year award.

D’Agostino did say the magazine likes to choose someone based on how current they are in pop culture. After taking time off following 2005 film “North Country,” Theron is back with two movies, “Elah” and “Battle in Seattle,” this year and has several others set for release next year and beyond.

‘Monster’ star Charlize Theron has been named the actress with the best legs in Hollywood in a poll conducted by a US magazine.

According to In Touch magazine, the credit for conferring this honour to the actress goes to her ballerina background that helped shape her long legs.

Theron beat Gisele Bundchen and Jennifer Anniston to claim the top spot in the competition, reports Contactmusic.

The top five positions on the list of best-legged celebrities were wrapped up by Vanessa Minnillo, the MTV presenter who is dating Nick Lachey, and wrestler-turned TV dancer, Stacy Keibler.
