Ben Affleck continued to play to his dark side while filming a bank robbery scene on the Boston set of The Town yesterday.

He took a few breaks to chat on his cell while the cameras were off, possibly checking in with Jennifer and the girls who have been making the East Coast home while Ben is working.

Katie and Suri are also settling into Boston life while Tom films Wichita in the same city, which, while unlikely, could mean a cute Suri/Violet playdate at the park.

The “Girlfriend” singer – who announced she was separating from the Sum 41 rocker last week – spent a month partying on oil heir Brandon Davis’ yacht in St. Tropez, South of France, and sources say the pair have grown very close.

One is quoted by gossip blogger Perez Hilton as saying: “She was downing shots, drinking booze from the bottle and play-fighting men on the beach. She wasn’t acting like a married woman at all.”

However, sources close to Avril insist she and Brandon are “not involved romantically” and are “just friends.”

Even though their three-year marriage is over, Avril has vowed to stay friends with her estranged husband. Paramedics were called out to the former “Baywatch” star’s Californian home at around 3.30pm by his 17-year-old daughter after he collapsed.

Gossip website TMZ claimed: “Hayley Hasselhoff – who was at home with David – called her mother Pamela, claiming David was extremely drunk.

One of Pamela’s friends called 911, paramedics arrived at the family’s home in Encino and took him to the hospital.”

Emergency services confirmed they had visited the house, but refused to say why. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department said: “We sent an ambulance and a person was transported to a local hospital.”

It is believed that David, 57, left hospital last night.

He has previously been open about his struggles with alcoholism and was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning in October 2007.

The incident came months after an infamous video – filmed by his family – was leaked, showing him drunkenly writhing around on the floor trying to eat a cheeseburger.

Insiders tell E! News exclusively that Khloé Kardashian and her NBA star boyfriend Lamar Odom are already planning to tie the knot.

Odom, a forward for the L.A. Lakers, and Khloé recently have been “talking about rings,” says a source close to the couple.

Members of the Kardashian family are neither confirming nor denying the wedding plans or a date. A rep for both stars have declined to comment.

The planned marriage would be the first for Khloé, 25, and Lamar, 29, who had three children with his former longtime girlfriend, Liza Morales. They have a 10-year-old daughter, Destiny, and a 7-year-old son, Lamar Jr. (On June 29, 2006, Odom’s 7-month-old infant son, Jayden, reportedly died from SIDS while sleeping in his crib in New York.)

A girl-driven horror flick featuring a hypnotic performance by Megan Fox and the wicked dark smarts of writer Diablo Cody, Jennifer’s Body aims to be a cult classic, and should be crowned as one.

The Bigger Picture: Jennifer’s Body gleefully jumps over gapping plot holes and shoves characters into implausible situations—but no matter! Everyone here is having way too much fun to care. The movie has the darkness of Heathers, the edginess of Mean Girls and the absurd gore of Little Shop of Horrors. In other words, it’s tailor-made for screenings at midnight and slumber parties.

Here, Jennifer is the Megan Fox of her high school: an envied, desired sex kitten. Her bestie is a bookish, clingy, goofball nicknamed Needy (Amanda Seyfried). Needy exists in the world of pigeon-chested boys and algebra homework, whereas Jen spends her time in nightclubs and bars seducing the men of her small town. (Why they’re friends to begin with does get explained but is one of the story’s weaker points—flashbacks to the sandbox where the girls built their unlikely bond.)

When an indie band, in requisite eyeliner and skinny jeans, comes to town, bad things go down: The evil band boys abduct Jen (Adam Brody plays the delicious lead singer) though she manages to escape. Curiously, her rapacious desire for boys is still intact, and we discover that what she really craves from men is their blood!

The new Jennifer unhinges her jaw like a snake and tears into boy-flesh with her teeth, then she scoops out organs for snacks. Needy is also in danger, as Jennifer’s appetite “goes both ways.”

But there’s a savory second layer to the flick: the dynamic between the two girls. Their sexually fraught friendship feels entirely natural, instead of some horror flick gimmick. Cody’s story accurately captures the hormonal soup of teenage girlie friendships, the scramble of seduction, competition and compassion.

And the ladies are electric: Seyfried’s performance is sincere and skillful, but Fox is the pulsating motor of the movie. She’s a wickedly comic vixen who uses her natural sexual charisma as a prop instead of crutch.

The movie may not please large audiences—the violence, the sexuality, the overall campiness—but it could easily captivate a core of new Jennifer devotees.

Kellan Lutz came in second in our Summer Shirtless Contest, but he’s still working hard to keep those pecs in tip-top shape.

He was spotted doing an intense-looking workout yesterday afternoon in Vancouver, checking himself out as he worked with bands and weights at a gym.

His frequent exercise buddy Peter Facinelli came along for the session, though we know sometimes Peter even brings the gym back to his hotel. Kellan’s known to work out pretty intensely even training his costars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and all that practice will certainly come in handy when it’s time to film all of those Eclipse fight scenes.

The Simpson-Wentz clan was smiling big as they swung by a PETCO in LA yesterday.

It’s been a rough week for the furry friends of the Simpson family after Jessica’s Daisy was snatched by a coyote and remains missing despite her efforts to contact all her neighbors.
