The “Knight and Day” actress – who has dated a string of Hollywood hunks, including Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and Matt Dillon – doesn’t want to close herself off to any opportunity in life by settling down.

When quizzed about her thoughts on marriage and children, she replied: “What about it? If I say, ‘This is how I’m going to live my life,’ I am closing myself off to all these other possibilities. I’m the kind of girl who likes to be open to every possibility, who is open to all my options.”

However, the blonde beauty – who has most recently been romantically linked to baseball star Alex Rodriguez – claims she is a natural “nurturer.”

She explained to The Sun newspaper: “My role in a lot of relationships that I have with family and friends is as the nurturer, definitely.”

Cameron also revealed what she looks for in a man, should she ever decide to settle down.

She said: “I like a guy who is conscientious, who knows where they are in their life and knows who they are. Not pushing off to the side.”

The actress – who is rumored to be dating New York Yankees player Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez – is happy to tackle her own stunts and mix it with the boys on set but insists she is a girlie girl deep down.

Speaking at the UK premiere of her new action film “Knight and Day” in London’s Leicester Square last night (July 22, 2010), Cameron told BANG Showbiz: “Things I enjoy doing mean I often get labeled as a tomboy, but I can assure you I’m all woman!”

The blonde beauty also admitted she and her “Knight and Day” co-star Tom Cruise were “really lucky” not to be injured while shooting several dangerous stunts and action sequences for the movie.

She added: “He’s amazing and we both wanted to make an action movie so we were both game for doing whatever we could. We were really lucky on this movie that nobody got injured and we were really safe but considering what we were doing we were really lucky.”

Tom, 48, also stepped out on the red carpet last night to meet his fans and praised Cameron, 37, for her work in the movie.

He said: “It was fantastic. Cameron’s incredible – everyone loves her. She’s just so warm and talented and a genuinely lovely person to work with.”

The two megastars play a fugitive couple battling to stay alive in the comedy action flick.

Other stars to attend the premiere included Anastacia and Boyzone singers Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy.

The 37-year-old actress – who has most recently been romantically linked to baseball player Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez – believes monogamy is an outdated concept and says it’s perfectly acceptable not to spend your life with one partner.

She said: “Relationships can last two, five or 20 years. I don’t believe in sharing your bed with the same person your whole life, though. That might be a reality for some, but it surely isn’t for me.”

Cameron – who has enjoyed a string of high-profile romances with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Matt Dillon and Jared Leto – believes society puts too much pressure on people to get married and says there is nothing wrong with staying single.

She added in an interview with German magazine Bunte: “You don’t find true love, it finds you. Somewhere out there, there’s someone you can share your love with. Our society tries to makes us believe you’re ready for love at 18, have to get married and spend the rest of your life with the same man. Bullshit!”

“That’s not the ideal anymore these days. Some people find their true love at 50 and with today’s life expectancy you could live another 50 years with that person. Just imagine having to sleep with the same guy for 20, 30 or even 50 years. If you can’t you shouldn’t go there.”

The actress voices the ginger haired green Ogress in the film series, but doesn’t like people to tell their children, so as to keep the mystery of her character alive.

Speaking at the premiere of “Shrek Forever After” at the Tribeca film festival

in New York, Cameron told People.com: “When parents say to their kids, ‘This is Princess Fiona,’ I just tell them, ‘Let the mystery and the fantasy live within them. Let them believe that Princess Fiona is actually real.’”

Some celebrity parents have let the secret slip, however, with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes letting their four-year-old daughter Suri into Cameron’s cartoon character secret.

Cameron, 37, added: “It’s funny because Suri does know I’m Princess Fiona. I’m not going to speak for her, but yes, I think she does love Shrek.”

Cameron appeared at the premiere of “Shrek Forever After” – the last film in the series – on Wednesday (April 20, 2010) alongside co-stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas, wearing an elegant black dress.

She also stars with Tom in action-comedy film “Knight and Day,” which is due to be released In July.

The actress – who stars in the upcoming movie with Tom Cruise – paid for the on set action woman to holiday to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as a way of saying thank you for all her hard work.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: “There were a lot of serious stunts in the movie. The double got pretty banged up, Cameron sent her away to heal her bruises in peace.”

In the film, Tom plays secret agent Milner who goes on a blind date with Cameron’s character June Havens and the pair end up having to protect a powerful battery that can produce infinite power.

The majority of shooting took place at the end of 2009 in Boston, Bridgewater and Melrose, in Massachusetts, while some scenes were filmed in Spain and Austria.

The action comedy marks the first time the Hollywood pair have starred together since 2001′s “Vanilla Sky” and it is due for release this coming June.
