Angelina Jolie is looking for an apartment in New York City.

The “Changeling” actress was seen inspecting a property in Manhattan’s uptown Washington Heights neighborhood yesterday afternoon (February 17, 2009) – just weeks after she signed the lease on a $60 million Long Island mansion.

The 33-year-old star wore a black trench coat, boots and sunglasses and spent about 25 minutes inside the building. Her partner Brad Pitt and their six children were not with her.

A source said: “The building had work permits and it seemed like they were probably being remodeled for buyers’ taste. The building is pretty impressive. It’s really nice.”

Angelina – who is nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards which take place on Sunday (February 22, 2009) – was in high spirits, laughing and waving to fans.

The source said: “She was nice. She waved to the cameras, said, ‘Hey guys.’”

New York will be Angelina and Brad’s home for the next few months, while Angelina films thriller “Salt.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly set to adopt another Ethiopian child.The couple – who already have three biological children Shiloh, two, six-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne, and three adopted children, Cambodian Maddox, seven, Pax, five, from Vietnam and four-year-old Ethiopian girl Zahara – are planning to jet to Africa before the end of January to complete paperwork on the new addition to their family.

A source revealed: “Brad and Angelina have seen pictures of a two-year-old girl they’d love to adopt.”

“If everything goes to plan, Angelina will file papers in person in the capital city of Addis Ababa in the New Year and they will pick up their new daughter two days later.”

Officials in Ethiopia have confirmed they are expecting the family this month as Brad, 45, and 33-year-old Angelina are planning to visit the AIDS/HIV clinic they founded after adopting Zahara.

A clinic source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: “I can’t say anything about when they are coming, but yes, when they come to Ethiopia we will expect a visit from them.”

Brad and Angelina are said to be keen on extending their brood while their other children are still young.

An insider explained: “Angelina gets a kick from saving kids and giving them this amazing life they would have never had otherwise.”

“Yes they might be adding to their family fast but they want all their kids to be roughly the same age so they do the nanny stage and get it over and done with.”

“Another kid in the house will make no difference to the noise and chaos they already have.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been nominated for Screen Actors Guild awards.Brad has been recognized in the best actor category for his role in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” while Angelina received a best actress nomination for her part in “Changeling.”

Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway and Melissa Leo will also compete for the prestigious accolade.

“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” – which sees Brad star as a man born old who ages backwards – also features in the best ensemble category, and will battle it out against “Doubt,” “Frost/Nixon,” “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Milk.”

Heath Ledger – who died of an accidental overdose in January – is up for the supporting actor award for his portrayal of The Joker in summer Batman blockbuster “The Dark Knight,” alongside stars including Robert Downey Jr. for “Tropic Thunder” and Josh Brolin for “Milk.”

Angelina Jolie says she and Brad Pitt are already thinking about adopting again.The “Changeling” star – who has three-month-old twins, a biological two-year-old daughter and three adopted children with Brad – admits the couple have started planning the next addition to their family.

When asked if she and Brad are planning to adopt again “soon” Angelina nodded and said “Yeah.”

The 33-year-old beauty added on US TV series “The Today Show”: “You can’t even start the process until any new children are six months old, to understand how the new family has settled.”

Angelina also insists her current brood are never surprised by her decision to adopt children from around the world.

She added: “We have so many children that they’re not really stunned anymore when kids come home.”

“They’re all at that great age that they are not threatened. They’re independent. They don’t need mommy and daddy all the time.”

Angelina previously revealed she wants a “rainbow family” comprising kids from deprived countries worldwide.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie want ”a dozen” children.

The Hollywood couple – who welcomed twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline into the world on July 12 – have six children, but are determined to continue expanding their brood.

A source said: “Angelina wants one more baby naturally – even if they end up having twins again. Twins would be wonderful. A dozen kids would be their dream.”

It was recently revealed Brad and Angelina have asked U2 frontman Bono to be godfather to their new  babies after staying at his house in the South of France.

A source said: “Brad and Angelina think the world of Bono. They have been friends for years.”

“Brad is a massive U2 fan and told Bono how much he admired him when they were introduced at a party a few years back. Since then, they’ve become very close, which Brad is thrilled about.”

Angelina is inspired by Bono’s humanitarian work and gets on with his wife Ali Hewson.”

As well as the twins, Brad and Angelina have three adopted children – six-year-old Maddox, four-year-old Pax, three-year-old Zahara – and two-year-old biological daughter Shiloh.

If one of the twins they are reportedly having turns out to be a baby girl, then Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s oldest son Maddox has already decided what she’s going to be called.

The couple’s adopted son, 4-year-old Maddox, decided upon the name Mallory after he was given the duty of picking names for the unborn twins.

The revelation has actress Sarah Bolger rather excited, for Maddox has chosen the name of her character in the film ‘The Spiderwick Chronicles’.

“Angelina is saying in interviews that if one of the twins is a girl Maddox gets to name her and he has said Mallory because it’s his favourite movie at the moment,” Daily Telegraph quoted the excited 17-year-old as saying in Sydney.

“I was shocked because he’s a boy and I thought he would have liked Jared or Simon (Mallory’s twin brothers in the movie).

“So now I am crossing my fingers that they have a girl. I would love to go up to Angelina Jolie and go ‘Your kid is named after me’. That would be the best thing in the world,” she added.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were left red-faced when they were refused entry to a rock concert.

The Hollywood couple, dubbed ‘Brangelina’ tried to get themselves and a group of friends into the R.E.M. gig at the South by South West festival in Austin, Texas.

Angelina Jolie’s brother has confirmed that the actress is to adopt another African girl with partner Brad Pitt.

The couple plan to tour orphanages in March in search of a sister to bond with Ethiopian daughter Zahara.

James Haven is quoted in the Daily Mirror as saying: “They are creating one big family and will keep adopting as long as they are able to.

“Angie and Brad talk about how much they have been taught by their kids. In many respects Angie saved Zahara’s life and there are so many more children whose lives she could save and she talks about that constantly.”

Jolie and Pitt already have three adopted children – two-year-old Zahara, six-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, and four-year-old Pax from Vietnam – as well as 20-month-old biological daughter Shiloh.

They were originally reported to be planning a second African adoption last August.

Last night, the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium played host to the Critics’ Choice Awards, an industry gig known for its raw honesty. And Brangelina was on the receiving end of some loving words from comedian D.L. Hughley.

First Brad Pitt was commended for “doing more for black people than the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Hughley also gave the “Fight Club” actor props for his Make It Right work, conveying the title of “honorary Black person” unto Pitt.

All the while, both the “Tomb Raider” actress and her “Ocean’s Thirteen” beau looked amazing. On the red carpet, Ang was spotted wearing a belted black coat with high-heels, while Brad sexed it up in a three-piece grey suit sans necktie.

Angelina Jolie has said she may add to her ever growing brood by having another baby with partner Brad Pitt.

The Tomb Raider star has one biological daughter – 19-month-old Shiloh – with Pitt and the pair are adoptive parents to six-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, four-year-old Pax Thien from Vietnam and two-year-old Zahara who they adopted in Ethiopia.

And the actress has said she may have another child as early as this year.

Talking to In Touch Weekly, the 32-year-old said: “We will have more children, but right now we’re adjusting to everybody and it’s still new.

Jolie revealed this week that prior to her adoption of Maddox, she had been unsure as to her abilities to be a good mother.

But with a six-strong household, the Beowulf star admitted that though she and Pitt may occasionally disagree, they are united in their parenting methods.

“Oh yeah, we do argue, but we never clash over how to raise the children,’ she stressed,

“We back each other as parents. There is no, ‘Daddy’s good with this’, or, ‘Mummy doesn’t like it.’ We never want the kids to see we are divided in the way we discipline them.”

Angelina Jolie reportedly wrote a letter to her estranged father recently as she wants to mend their relationship. Jolie and Jon Voight stopped speaking in 2002 after he publicly said his daughter has “serious mental problems.”

Jolie was said to have refused his attempts at reconciliation, but sources say the actress has admitted to trying to talk to her father.

“We have [communicated] through letters already and we’ll see how far we can go,” Jolie recently said.

During a recent interview, Voight said he couldn’t talk about his relationship with Jolie but said he sent his love to her, and her children with partner Brad Pitt.

“No, I can’t talk about it really. But I send my love to my daughter and son, the family always, I wish them the best,” he said. “I’m very impressed with Angelina’s work, with some of the humanitarian things. And she’s a great actress. I’m always thinking of Brad and the kids. I’m sending my love that way.”

Angelina Jolie has started rubbing caviar into her skin to stay looking young.

The 32-year-old actress, who is dating Brad Pitt, is said to be worried the veins in her arms, hands and forehead have become more visible because of the amount of weight she has lost in recent months.

To combat the problem, Angelina has started having a special £200-a-time beauty treatment which uses a cream made from the eggs of the Baerii sturgeon – which is reared on farms in the South of France to produce the culinary delicacy of fish eggs.

The treatment, which can last up to three hours, involves the actress being wrapped up in tight bandages so her body sweats out toxins before she is slathered in the youth-restoring body cream – which claims to fight “slackened skin and loss of firmness”.

The high oil and protein content of the sturgeon eggs is believed to be very good for the skin.

As well as the full body treatments, Angelina is also having lengthy facials using caviar-based moisturisers made by cosmetic company La Prairie.

The ‘Beowulf’ star is not the only celebrity who has discovered the skin benefits of caviar.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Rolling Stones star Sir Mick Jagger, supermodel Kate Moss and fashion designer Stella McCartney are all allegedly fans of caviar-based facial treatments. Angelina recently revealed her mother’s death triggered her dramatic weight loss.

The actress – who lost her mother Marcheline Bertrand to ovarian cancer in January – said last week: “I’ve always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I’ve gone through a lot.

“I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding – it’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track.”

Angelina Jolie used her celebrity yesterday to help publicise the 46,000 children still displaced in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

The actress explained that her work as a United Nations (UN) goodwill ambassador had inspired her and partner Brad Pitt to work alongside the Children’s Health Fund (CHF).

“This is the largest displacement of children in my own country so I want to learn as much as possible,” she told reporters at a press conference in New Orleans.

The CHF issued a report earlier this month which explained that between 46,000 and 64,000 children affected by Katrina – as well as Hurricane Rita – were still at risk of medical, mental health and educational problems.

“Many families are distressed about how long and difficult the recovery has been,” said Dr Irwin Redlener, president of the CHF and director of the National Centre for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, which conducted the study.

“We’re concerned that this issue has fallen off the radar screen and that, nationally, people are losing interest, saying this is a ‘local’ issue. We dispute that. This is a national problem and one that requires an intense and focused effort to fix,” he was quoted by the Associated Press news agency as saying.

Jolie’s partner, Fight Club star Pitt, has pledged more than $5 million (£2.4 million) to Make it Right, a recovery project to rebuild 150 homes in the Lower Ninth Ward, a neighbourhood devastated by the hurricanes.

“We’re focused on community building,” Pitt said. “It’s not just about homes. It’s not just about building. It’s about the lack of focus on education and health care too.”

Actress Angelina Jolie sent a picture and news of her adopted son Pax to Vietnamese officials, saying he is healthy, ‘funny’ and loving his new family.

Jolie said Pax has become healthy since he was adopted seven months ago though he was initially described as ’shy and dazed’.

Jolie wrote to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice: ‘He speaks in full sentences and even tells great jokes. He has bonded with his family members and we believe he feels very safe in his home.

He loves to play outside and enjoys playing with toys that allow him to utilize his motor skills.’

She added, ‘He is a wonderful addition to our family. We love him very much.’ Foreign foster parents of adopted Vietnamese children are required by law to send periodic reports for the first three months and then have to send annual a report until the child is 18 years old.

Jolie, when she got the kid, had proudly announced: “She’s from Ethiopia. She’s an AIDS orphan.” But adopted papers clearly stated that the baby had a grandmother and other extended family member, intouch.hollywood.com reports.

The grandmother even introduced Intouch to a woman who claims to be Zahara’s mother.

“I want my daughter to come home to see where she is from. Her grandmother and I both tried very hard to raise her, and I want her to come home to regain her identity,” said the woman.

The globe-trotting couple, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are teaming up to produce a new series for HBO, based on the inner workings of an international aid organization and the stories of humanitarian workers who risk their lives to help others, a spokesperson for the cable network confirmed to E! News.

Pitt and Jolie will serve as executive producers on the project. Scott Burns, who cowrote The Bourne Ultimatum and was a producer of An Inconvenient Truth, will also executive produce and will write the pilot.

The as-yet untitled drama is described as Jolie’s “passion.” The actress and mother of four has served as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency since 2001 and previously starred in 2003’s Beyond Borders, about relief workers in countries devastated by war.

The project marks Jolie’s first return to HBO since her breakthrough performance in 1998’s Gia, which earned her a Golden Globe. Pitt is already working with the network as a producer of the miniseries Undaunted Courage, currently in development.

After spending time in New York this fall, where Pitt was filming the Coen brothers caper Burn After Reading, the Jolie-Pitt clan recently returned to Los Angeles, where Jolie is currently shooting The Changeling with Clint Eastwood.

The mum of four exhibited her conspicuously thin frame as she stepped out to pick up son Maddox in a black pencil skirt and mustard top that hung loosely around her body.

Recently, the star quelled pregnancy rumours with her scrawny figure and gaunt face, fuelling fears for her health.
