Paris Hilton is reportedly desperate to win back ex-lover Benji Madden.

The hotel heiress – who split from the Good Charlotte rocker last November – has been consumed by jealously after seeing pictures of Benji spending Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2009) with US singer Katy Perry.

A source said “Paris still has very strong feelings for Benji and seeing those pictures has really hurt her – especially as they were taken so close to her birthday.”

“She is determined to get Benji back and she is not going to let anyone or anything stand in her way.”

Benji and Katy spent the romantic day together in Las Vegas, although the “Hot n Cold” singer has since claimed they are just good friends.

She said “It’s two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other… doesn’t mean we were bumping uglies! You know I don’t just do that with anyone!”

“I was there celebrating a really fun show and a boozy Valentine’s Day with all my good friends.”

“We were like a group of 25! Benji is a nice young fellow, but my heart really belongs to my cat.”

Shortly after Paris separated from Benji, the blonde socialite admitted she still had strong feelings for the musician.

Katy Perry has clawed back at rumors she was caught canoodling with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden on Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas.

“Oh kittens! It’s two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other… doesn’t mean we were bumping uglies!” she wrote on her Web site. “You know I don’t just do that with anyone! That’s just how the media works, as you can tell.”

Katy, who earlier this year vowed to remain celibate after splitting with longtime beau, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy, over New Year’s, said she was in Vegas, not with Benji on a solo date, but hanging with a host of friends.

“I was there celebrating a really fun show and a boozy Valentine’s with all my good friends. We were like a group of 25,” she wrote.

The “I Kissed A Girl” singer did note, however, that she has a fondness for the guitarist, who recently broke up with Paris Hilton.

“Benji is a nice young fellow, but my heart really belongs to Kitty Purry,” she wrote, referring to her cat.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “All her friends reckoned it was a bad idea.”

“And when Paris and Avril set off, one pal thought Benji should be warned and he went mad.”

“The minute he put the phone down he ran out of the club. They missed each other by a few seconds and Paris was absolutely devastated.”

After Benji, 29, had stormed out of the club he reportedly ranted: “Can’t I have a night out in peace?”

Paris admitted she was still in love with Benji during a radio interview on Friday (November 21, 2008).

She told KIIS FM’s Ryan Seacrest: “He’s my best friend. He’s been so great to me, so loyal. He is an incredible person, and we will always be really close.”

When asked if they will ever get back together, Paris added: “We’ll see what happens in the future; I’m still in love with him.”

“He’s a very special person – there’s no one like him. I still have feelings for Benji.”

Meanwhile, it has been reported Paris forced organizers of the Toronto International Film Festival to cancel two screenings of a new documentary about her.

The blonde beauty demanded two of the three “Paris, Not France” screenings were canceled in a bid to make reviewers even more eager to see the movie.

Her representative Jason Moore said: “We wanted to create more buzz – create some hype.”

“We felt the impact would be more extreme if we had just one screening.”

When it comes to going on vacation, Paris Hilton does it right. She’s tagging along with her boyfriend Benji Madden on his band Good Charlotte’s world tour, and she’s looking fabulous every step of the way.

Earlier today, the “Simple Life” babe arrived at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town, South Africa. Benji and the boys were in town to perform at “My Coke Fest” and Paris was content to just sit back and observe.

When asked how she liked Africa, Miss Hilton said she loved it, noting that both south and west Africa are beautiful countries… we’ll let that faux pas slide.

Two days earlier, the “Stars are Blind” singer was spotted out and about in Cape Town, dressed like a true musician’s girlfriend in an all-black ensemble including a tank top and trucker hat. It looks like she’s fitting right in!
