Ashton Kutcher ran into trouble with US customs on Monday (March 23, 2009).

Ashton was traveling to Germany to work on a new film after attending Bruce Willis’ Caribbean wedding at the weekend, when customs officers attempted to trick him.

Officials at Miami airport set the 31-year-old actor up to be “Punk’d” – in tribute to the celebrity prank show Ashton presented on MTV.

Posting on his Twitter blog as he entered customs, Ashton wrote: “Dealing with customs in Miami.”

“I’m only going to speak to them in Spanish. This should be fun. Hola. como esta?”

The post was followed around an hour later by: “I really wish customs agents would stop trying to punk me.”

Although it is not known what customs officials did to Ashton, his wife Demi Moore has also commented on the incident.

She wrote: “Funny they tried to Punk my husband at customs. The guy couldn’t keep a straight face. He was coming up against a professional!”

The customs officers’ ruse on Ashton comes a day after he played a trick on Demi, posting a picture of her bikini-clad butt with the caption “Shh. Don’t tell wifey” on his Twitter blog.

The couple have been slammed by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for wearing fur and are currently at numbers one and two respectively in the voting for the organization’s annual poll.

A PETA spokesperson said: “She may be a cougar, but that’s not helping fur-loving Demi Moore in the eyes of animal lovers.”

The organization also criticizes Ashton for wearing a coyote coat at the Sundance Film Festival.

Other stars also in the running for worst dressed celebrity include “4 Minutes” singer Madonna, Jessica Simpson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kanye West, Lindsay Lohan, the Olsen Twins, Mary J. Blige, and Kate Moss.

Slamming the contenders in the latest short list, PETA said: “This year, you will find most of the usual cold-hearted, tacky offenders, because any celebs who really matter just don’t wear dead animal skins.”

People are invited to vote for their “worst offender” on Peta.org until March 2.

Last year, soul legend Aretha Franklin made the top spot on the list, followed by Lindsay, Kate and Marilyn Manson.

Ashton Kutcher says wife Demi Moore completes him

The “What Happens in Vegas” star – who, at 30, is 15 years younger than the Hollywood beauty – says marrying Demi and becoming a stepfather to her three daughters has made him happier than he could ever have imagined.

He said: “Demi has made me complete. And the girls are the icing on the cake that is my life.”

“The love they give me is open and unconditional and everything I do revolves around making them as happy as they have made me.”

Ashton also revealed he has no problem with the age gap between him and 45-year-old Demi because he is used to being around older people.

He told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: “My whole life, I’ve always been around older people.”

“My friends were always a little bit older and when I was young, I spent a lot of time with my mom and her friends.”

“I mean, I feel so darn grown up now I’m 30, even though the number is inconsequential.”

“It should be all about where you are in life and how much responsibility you’ve taken on, not how old you are. For me, turning 30 was just an excuse to throw a party.”

Actress Cameron Diaz has thanked her fans for being supportive while she is grieving for her father.

The Charlie’s Angels star’s dad Emilio Diaz, 58, passed away on Tuesday due to complications which arose from pneumonia.

A statement released by Cameron noted that she and her family are “deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time”.

It is thought that she many be absent from the premiere of her latest film – What Happens In Vegas – which is scheduled to take place on April 22nd.

Production on her latest movie My Sister’s Keeper has been halted.

The actress, who is best-known for her comedic roles in films such as There’s Something About Mary and Shrek, also praised her late father’s sense of humour, saying it will “live on in our hearts”.

What Happens In Vegas also stars Ashton Kutcher and sees the pair playing a couple who find themselves married after a wild night out in Vegas.

Recently returned to Los Angeles following a visit to New York City and Ashton Kutcher’s SNL afterparty, actress Cameron Diaz now finds herself mourning the sudden death of her father.

Emilio Diaz, who lived in Seal Beach, California, had recently developed the flu which ended up turning into pneumonia. The 58-year-old is said to have suddenly passed away on Tuesday morning (April 15).

Sources have since revealed that production on Diaz’s latest movie “My Sister’s Keeper” was shut down to give her time to grieve and take care of family matters.

Emilio was a second generation Cuban-American who worked as a foreman for an oil company – also having a small role as “Jailbird” in Cameron’s hit movie “There’s Something About Mary”.

Moore and hubby Ashton Kutcher tied the knot in September 2005, and the actress became an expectant mum once but lost the baby.

Lesley Guynes, who is separated from Moore’s half-brother commented that the 44-year-old actress was unable to have kids of her own as she was old.

“I think Demi is getting too old to have kids of her own. Demi and Ashton have been trying to have a child for years,” the Daily Express quoted Guynes, as saying.

Guynes, who is seeking custody of her six-year-old twins Cooper and Oliver, earlier revealed that the actress was helping Morgan with the divorce so that she could have access to her sons.

While Guynes wants the twins to stay with her in Gerogia, Morgan wants to bring them up in Los Angeles.

Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher have previously confessed they want a child together and speculation is rife she is now expecting.

The actress’ representative said: “If or when Demi is pregnant, she and her husband will decide if that extremely private information should be made public.”

Ashton is holding a press conference on Friday (03.16.07) to promote his new NBC show “The Real Wedding Crashers” but has already announced he will not answer any personal questions.

An email said: “Questions will be taken from in-person journalists as well as from press on the phone.”

“Please do not ask Ashton Kutcher any ‘personal’ questions.”

Demi, 44, said recently: “I most definitely want to have children with Ashton. Most definitely.”

“Once you hit three, and you’re outnumbered, it’s really like, ‘What’s the difference between three or four or five?’”

“For me, the most important thing that I’ve contributed is my children.”

Ashton, 28, is close to his three step-daughters, Rumer, 18, Scout, 15, and Tallulah, 12, and has also expressed his desire to become a father.

Ashton hired top photographer Mario Testino to take intimate portraits of the ‘Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle’ actress for her 41st birthday present, but ordered that there be “no nudes”.

Demi confessed in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine: “Of course Ashton said, ‘No nudes’, and the first thing Mario said to us is ‘Let’s get naked.

“Mario has an incredible sense of play, which makes the experience more enjoyable.”

Mario used one of the private shots of the 44-year-old actress on the cover of his new book ‘Let Me In’.

Demi has also revealed that she and Ashton want to leave Hollywood again for her remote Idaho home.

She said: “When Ashton was shooting on location in Louisiana we realised it was the first time we had been able to go to a grocery store.

“I think there are a lot of things that get compromised when you live in Los Angeles.

“Ashton already says now every time we go up to Idaho, ‘I’ve got to figure out a way we can live up here full-time.’”
