The 33-year-old actress – who plays a 49ft superhero in animated movie “Monsters vs. Aliens” – made her voice so deep and macho much her children Ava, nine, and Deacon, five, didn’t even realize it was her.

She said: “They wanted me to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Bruce Willis. I was like, how do you do that?!”

“The voice got deeper and stronger and they wanted me to be like an action hero. They had to coach me a lot.”

“We got home from seeing the movie for the first time and Ava and Deacon were like, ‘Do the voice! Is it really you?’”

In the new Dreamworks film, Reese plays Susan, an ordinary woman who gets hit by a meteorite and becomes Ginormica.

Reese loved the role so much, she bought her children dozens of Ginormica action figures.

She added to US TV show “Access Hollywood”: “I have all the action figures. As soon as I saw my own action figure, I ripped her out of the box and started playing with her. My kids love it, every morning we play with them. I have to pretend to be a giant robot.”

Paris Hilton has rehired the publicist she dumped over the weekend after being sentenced to 45 days in jail.

Elliot Mintz confirmed to The Associated Press late Monday that he is again representing the 26-year-old socialite, who was ordered to report to county jail by June 5 for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Mintz, 62, wouldn’t elaborate on why he reunited with Hilton. The publicist, whose clients have included John Lennon and Bob Dylan, issued a statement Sunday night that he and Hilton had parted ways over an apparent “misunderstanding she received from me regarding the terms of her probation.”

In a court appearance Friday, Hilton told the judge Mintz informed her it was all right to drive on a suspended license for work obligations. Mintz also testified Hilton believed she was allowed to drive. The judge called Mintz’s testimony worthless.

Hilton — star of reality TV show “The Simple Life” on the E! network — has parlayed her party lifestyle into worldwide fame.

She has called the sentence unfair, and her fans have posted a petition on the Internet urging Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her.

“I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don’t deserve this,” Hilton told photographers assembled outside her home Saturday.

The petition, which had more than 900 signatures by Tuesday morning, urges the California actor-turned-governor to pardon Hilton because she provides “beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.”

“If the late former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late former President
Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well, and we hope and expect the governor will understand and grant this unusual but important request in good faith to Ms. Paris Whitney Hilton,” the petition says.

A message left with Schwarzenegger’s press office regarding the petition wasn’t immediately returned.

Meanwhile, Hilton’s lawyers have filed a notice with the court indicating their intent to appeal the decision. The document is required before a formal appeal can be lodged.

The latest installment of “The Simple Life,” which throws Hilton and pal Nicole Richie, 25, into everyday situations, premieres May 28 on E! After famously feuding and filming their parts separately last season, the celebutantes reunite as camp counselors for the show’s fifth installment.

The actor-turned-politician – who is a former six-time Mr. Olympia bodybuilding champion – has developed an insatiable hunger for the calorific treats made at Frittelli’s Gourmet Donuts, in Beverly Hills.

According to gossip website TMZ.com, Arnie visits the eatery at least once a week for his sugary fix and his favorite donut is the green apple fritter.

The Hollywood legend was criticized when he ran for California governor in 2003 for popularizing gas-guzzling Hummer cars, but Frittelli’s primarily uses eco-friendly energy resources to produce their sweet delights.

Arnie is said to leave the store by uttering his famous “Terminator” line “I’ll be back” to serving staff.

The 59-year-old star isn’t the only celebrity regular at the donut store.

The episode – which aired in the US last month to coincide with Earth Day – showed mechanics converting the 1965 Chevrolet Impala, by installing a new engine which cuts the car’s emissions of greenhouse gases by 50 per cent.

In an episode that aired March 18, Schwarzenegger hosted five of the show’s contestants in his private conference room at the state Capitol.

The governor denies any link between the donation and the television appearance, but some political watchdog groups are skeptical.

“He’s clearly using his personal friendships and his celebrity to pay off his campaign debt, and that’s just wrong,” said Jamie Court, president of the Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights, a group that tracks campaign donations.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger broke his leg while skiing with his family on Saturday morning in Sun Valley, Idaho, a spokesman said.

Schwarzenegger, 59, was taken to a hospital for X-rays and was discharged with a fracture to his right femur, said Adam Mendelsohn, the governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications.

He will have surgery to repair the bone when he returns to Los Angeles, Mendelsohn said. The governor remained at his Sun Valley home Saturday night and still planned to spend Christmas there.

No one else was involved in the accident, Mendelsohn said.

The fracture was the third medical problem the governor suffered in a year.

He spent several hours at a University of California, Davis, hospital last December with a rapid heartbeat after coming down with a stomach flu. In January, Schwarzenegger needed 15 stitches to repair his cut lip after colliding with a car while riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in Los Angeles.

The Sun Valley Resort, a favorite skiing destination for celebrities, includes a short ski trail named “Arnold’s Run” after Schwarzenegger. The trail is categorized as a black diamond, or most difficult, for its challenging terrain.

The name and level of difficulty of the trail the governor was skiing when his accident occurred were not released.
