Jennifer Hudson’s pet dogs will have starring roles at her wedding.

The singer-and-actress will wed her partner, David Otunga, soon – although she will not reveal an exact date – and wants her three Pomeranian dogs – Dreamgirl, Oscar, and Grammy – to play a big part.

She said: “I want my dogs to be in my wedding. I am so serious.”

Jennifer also hinted her dress could be “the most untraditional thing” about the day, adding: “Everybody comes down the aisle in a white gown. Maybe I’ll give it a twist.”

The Oscar-winning actress has lots of experience of marriage ceremonies because of her previous job as a wedding singer.

She added: “Anything I could sing at, I did. I’ve sung at a lot of weddings and seen a lot of the same things, and I want to make sure this is different – but traditional, and very, very classy.”

“I’ll be surrounded by family and friends. I hope that when I’m 80 years old, people will still be talking about my wedding.”

Jennifer – who is still grieving after her mother, brother and nephew were murdered last October – is currently on tour in the US.

Jessica Simpson asked top chefs to cook her dog a gourmet meal.

The “The Dukes of Hazzard” star asked staff at W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, to whip up a luxurious treat for her pampered pooch Daisy.

A source said: “Jess had the kitchen staff cook a meal for her dog but at least she looked fab.”

The 28-year-old star took her beloved pet – a gift from her ex-husband Nick Lachey, 35 – to the US restaurant for a meeting about upcoming work projects.

Jessica is determined to ensure the Maltipoo pup – a cross between a poodle and a Maltese – continues to eat well while the singer-and-actress concentrates on getting in shape.

The blonde beauty recently admitted she has re-hired her ex-personal trainer because she can’t resist junk food.

The “Pray Out Loud” singer – whose seemingly fuller figure was criticized recently when she was photographed wearing unflattering high-waisted jeans – has embarked on a strict fitness regime to help her control cravings for calorific foods.

A source said: “She just can’t resist junk food. She literally needs to be watched all the time. Jessica has a problem with binge eating, which is usually triggered by stress.”

Jennifer Aniston had no idea she would be upstaged by the dogs in her new movie.

The 40-year-old actress admits she and Owen Wilson often struggled to steal the limelight from their canine co-stars while filming romantic comedy “Marley and Me.”

Speaking about the character of Marley – who was played by 22 different Golden Labradors – Jennifer joked at the UK premiere of the film in London’s Leicester Square last night (March 2, 2009): “They didn’t warn us about that. Those dogs in the movie were really good!”

Owen, who looked dashing in a dark grey Burberry suit, laughingly revealed the dogs didn’t always behave themselves during filming.
He explained: “There was one scene where one of the Labradors kind of lifted his leg and he wasn’t supposed to.”

Owen – whose own pet Garcia had a cameo in the movie – insists he and Jennifer enjoyed working with the lovable animals because they are both dog owners.

He explained: “I had a real soft spot for Copper, who was a 25-year-old Labrador. But they all did great.”

Both stars braved chilly temperatures to sign autographs and pose for photographs with fans.

Jennifer – who was wearing a blue floor-length strapless Burberry dress and Azzedine Alaia high heels – didn’t stop shivering until she slipped on a black Burberry fitted jacket.

The former “Friends” actress revealed she hopes to work with Owen, also 40, again in the future. Speaking about a possible collaboration, Jennifer said: “That would be nice. We had a great time.”

“Marley and Me” – based on the best-selling autobiographical book by John Grogan – tells the story of a young married couple who end up buying a puppy which they soon realize is the “world’s worst dog.”

Wearing only spiked heels and pictured standing in front of the Hong Kong skyline, Krupa has been used by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia-Pacific in its latest ‘I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur’ advert.

The photo of Krupa, which has sensitive areas either airbrushed or covered by a small purse, will appear in magazines and billboards.
Commenting on her support for the anti-fur campaign she said: ‘There is nothing sexy about wearing something that is so obviously tied to senseless pain and killing.’

The campaign aims to draw attention to the inhumane treatment animals suffer in the name of fashion.

Other celebrities, who have bared all in previous PETA adverts, include Kim Basinger, Pamela Anderson and Christy Turlington.

Paula Abdul doesn’t exactly do herself any favours, does she. After spending years vehemently fighting off claims that she’s a drunk, a legal fruitcake or both, Paula Abdul goes and breaks her nose on a chihuahua and she’s back to square one again.

According to reports, Paula Abdul smashed up her nose last weekend when she fell on it after tripping to avoid crushing her pet chihuahua underfoot. Although Paula Abdul wasn’t hospitalised for the accident and is still well enough to help judge the American Idol finale, the fact remains that Paula Abdul somehow managed to bust up her face in an incident related to a tiny dog. That’s clumsiness over and above the call of duty, and if we were a member of Paula Abdul’s inner circle we’d be desperately worried about Paula inexplicably decapitating herself with her own teeth next time she’s on TV.

As much as people try to tell you that American Idol is all about the ongoing discovery of musical talent, the raising of money for good causes or Simon Cowell shouting at mentally ill boys and being startlingly dismissive of actual massacres, they’re wrong. American Idol is about one thing and one thing one – the slow, slow process of watching Paula Abdul gradually lose her mind.

And the people who make American Idol know this – that’s why they didn’t replace Paula Abdul with Courtney Love when they had the chance. They know the value of a woman who possibly sleeps with her American Idol contestants, goes properly batshit when a nail salon hurts her thumb, regularly doesn’t turn up for filming because she’s got an eye infection and can’t complete a sentence with slurring all the words into each other like a homeless glue addict from Scotland. Nobody knows for sure why Paula Abdul is such a nutcase, but it doesn’t look as if the speculation is going to end – at least not while Paula Abdul keeps doing mental things like breaking her nose while trying not to step on a chihuahua. The New York Post reports:

So what is it about Paula Abdul that keeps her trapped in this deafening tornado of stupidity? Paula Abdul has long denied that she’s constantly drunk, which leaves a few explanations. Those include Paula Abdul’s medication for her back injury warping her mind, the stress of fame warping her mind or the fact that Paula Abdul is without a doubt one of the loopiest fools the world has ever seen. Who knows which one is true.

One thing’s for sure, though – the next time Randy Jackson mindlessly babbles the word “dog” at an American Idol contestant over and over again, Paula Abdul is going to take it as a warning sign, screech with panicked terror and run full-speed out of the studio and, probably, head-first into a brick wall.

The fur-wearing singer-and-actress – who is regularly criticized by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) – has now reportedly been sent menacing letters.

The letters are said to threaten “to kill her in public, just like the slaughtered animals whose fur she wears.”

Lopez’s husband musician Marc Anthony is said to be so concerned for her safety, he has hired additional security for her.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “Marc Anthony has hired two off-duty police officers, in addition to her usual security team, to watch over Lopez whenever she makes public appearances.”

Lopez’s representative has denied the star has increased her security. She said: “This is untrue. She has had the same security team she has always had.”

PETA has slammed Lopez for hiring extra protection, insisting she is “promoting violence” by wearing fur.

A representative for PETA said: “All violence is wrong. But J.Lo needs to stop the real violence she promotes and subsidizes rather than give herself extra protection she doesn’t need.”

Pamela Anderson has hit out at British designer Julien Macdonald, turning down his invitation to attend London Fashion Week because of his use of animal fur.

MacDonald wanted the former Baywatch babe to join him at his show wearing an outfit he had designed – but animal campaigner Anderson sent a rejection letter urging the designer to ditch his use of fur. Pamela Anderson – a campaigner for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) – wrote back,

“I truly appreciate it. I’m hoping you can extend your kindness to include animals. If you stop using fur; I’d be thrilled to attend a show of yours in the future.”

PETA has also attacked Macdonald – following their flour attack on him and Paris Hilton at his last London Fashion Week show. Director Poorva Joshipura, says, “Julien MacDonald’s latest fur-laden catwalk collection didn’t surprise anyone. He is a dinosaur designer who lacks the compassion and the intellect to see that there is simply no beauty in cruelty.”
