”Slumdog Millionaire” co-stars Freida Pinto and Dev Patel are dating.

According to actor Anil Kapoor, who also stars in the award-winning movie, Freida and Dev have been in a secret relationship.

He said: “I think this is the beginning of something exciting. They definitely make a great pair and look very good together.”

Ex-model Freida split from her partner Rohan Antao last month – fueling rumors she and 18-year-old Dev are romantically linked.

The pair play childhood sweethearts Jamal and Latika in Danny Boyle’s hit movie about a young boy’s journey from growing up in the slums of India to appearing on the TV quiz show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”

Kapoor, 49, told radio DJ Ryan Seacrest he is convinced there is something going on between the couple, despite Freida denying they are romantically involved.

He said: “As a matter of fact, when I meet them I feel there is something happening. But she says, ‘I have to look after him’ and ‘I have to babysit him’ and that kind of stuff.”

Earlier this week, it was reported 24-year-old Freida married Rohan in December 2007.

A source said: “Freida and Rohan fell in love at college and were extremely close. They were great together.”

“The marriage was an impulsive decision. They were deeply in love.”

Freida’s agent in India, Meenakshi Gehani, said: “We do not want to comment.”

“However, if she is married then whoever is claiming it should produce a marriage certificate.”

Rohan’s relationship status on his Facebook page has been changed from “committed” to “single.”

Yashraj Films ’ forthcoming venture Tashan not only required the acting credentials of Kareena Kapoor but also a change in her looks.

Kareena started losing weight for the film and since then, her size zero has attracted much attention.

Kareena is quoted as saying in a report, “Before this film started I knew that for this character to look different than what I have done before, I have to train really hard to kind of change the shape of my body.”

“A lot of actresses abroad do that, they work on one film at a time, change their look for a particular film body wise as well, people lose weight or put on weight as required for the character. For ‘Tashan’ it was a conscious effort to change my body structure and work towards it because I wanted to look lean. The character involves a lot of action, and I think a lean girl doing action always looks much better.”

“I trained really hard for about eight to nine months and was on a strict diet regime because that’s the only way this will look different from every other film. The response has been phenomenal. I am actually enjoying it and have got used to it.”

Scheduled to release on April 25, ‘Tashan’ also stars Anil Kapoor , Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan .
