Alicia Silverstone’s dogs are vegan.

The actress – who hasn’t eaten meat or dairy products for 10 years – says refining the eating habits of her four pets has stopped them passing wind.

She told UK TV talk show host Graham Norton: “I really care about animals, there’s so much unnecessary suffering going on.”

“All four of my dogs are vegan, they don’t fart any more! I eat delicious food but without cruelty.”

The 31-year-old “Clueless” star posed naked for an advertisement for animal rights group PETA last year and admitted she was terrified before the shoot.

She said: “It was scary but I knew I really wanted to make this message appealing.”

The actress – who was voted the sexiest female vegetarian in 2004 – said in the advert: “I am Alicia Silverstone, and I am a vegetarian.”

“There’s nothing in the world that’s changed me as much as this.”

“I feel so much better and have so much more energy. It’s amazing.”

Earlier this week, Leona Lewis was unveiled as this year’s sexiest female vegetarian, with Red Hot Chili Peppers star Anthony Kiedis taking the male honor.

Alicia Silverstone may have famously said in “Clueless” that she “totally intends to stop for animals” when she gets her reel-life driver’s license, but now the Hollywood hottie has dedicated her real life to saving creatures and critters.

“I’m excited to see Carrie Underwood perform tonight because she’s a fellow vegetarian,” Silverstone told Pop Tarts on the green carpet of Sunday’s “Movies Rock” concert to celebrate the many years of music in film. “Vegan is my life at the moment; I’m very dedicated to the cause.”

Silverstone left nothing to the imagination earlier this year by flashing all of her flesh for a PETA campaign, but it turns out she has high hopes for another star to “go naked rather than wear fur.”

“I would love to see Oprah naked — that’s a goal for me,” she said. “It would be great if she became a vegetarian; she is a very powerful woman and would really get the message across.”

“I watch my movies all the time. It’s the only stuff out there worth watching,” he said. “And the music in my movies is always the best, too. As for why she plans to do this, well that’s because the singer ignored Silverstone’s fanmail.

The ‘Clueless’ star shared how she admired Morissette in the letter and felt disappointed when the singer did not respond.

“I wrote Alanis Morissette a fan letter telling her how I loved her music and even mentioning the name of our mutual friend. I never heard back. She could have written or called me,” Contactmusic quoted Silverstone, as telling the New York Daily News.

“Alanis must’ve just lumped me in with her fans or thought I was some stalker. When I see her I plan to give her a hard time,” she added.

Following in Pamela Anderson’s footsteps, Hollywood beauty Alicia Silverstone has revealed that she would not mind stripping for PETA’s anti-fur charity campaign.

“I really respect the people who do it, I think it’s wonderful”, Female First quoted her, as saying.

“I’d maybe do it, I wouldn’t rule it out but I think so many people are doing it the message is getting across anyway which is fantastic”, she added.

Silverstine has lashed out against fur-wearing celebrities including Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez.

“When I see someone wearing it I think they must be either really stupid or just evil and don’t care”, she said.

Silverstone who recently won the title of the world’s sexiest vegetarian in a recent poll, revealed that she used to wear fur until someone showed her a video of how the animals were slaughtered, and she never wore it since.
