She’s one of the biggest pop icons of all time, and Madonna plans to continue her reign as the queen of music as she readies the release of her latest record “M.D.N.A.”

Fans have been chomping at the bit after getting a listen of two tracks from the Material Girl’s new album,”Gimme All Your Luvin” and “Masterpiece.”

While “Gimme” features Madonna’s token upbeat tempo, Madge described “Masterpiece” as much different and “more reflective.”

Additionally, the singer explained, “I think the majority of the record is more action-packed. More high-energy.”

While no official release date has been announced, reports say the album should be available for purchase sometime in March.

Stepping out for a glitzy Italian soiree, Cate Blanchett was all dressed up for the Maison Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile Opening Party in Rome on Friday night (January 27).

The “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” beauty worked the arrivals area alongside fellow guests such as Catherine Deneuve, Margareth Made, Kanika Kapoor, Natalia Vodianova and Tamara Falco before heading inside for cocktails and conversation.

The Maison Louis Vuitton appearance comes as Miss Blanchett and Andrew Upton have caused a bit of a debacle due to their announcement that they’re stepping down as co-artistic directors of the Sydney Theatre Company at the end of the 2013 season.

After running a column claiming that the theater company’s board of directors was unpleased with the couple’s tenure, the Sydney Theatre Company has since denied any such situation – instead issuing a statement saying, “The reality is that the board asked Cate and Andrew to stay on after their current term ends in 2013.”

The refutal of the Herald’s story added, “As they announced at the launch of the 2012 season, it was always their intention to only stay for two terms. We asked Cate and Andrew to stay on but we respect their decisions to leave in two years time to pursue other professional interests.”

It hasn’t been long (at all) since Rosie O’Donnell announced her engagement to girlfriend Michelle Rounds, and they’re making it very clear that they don’t want to waste any time when it comes to growing their family.

While hosting her OWN talk show Rosie today, the 49-year-old shared with guest Dr. Mehmet Oz that she and her fiancée are already trying for a baby.

“She’s trying to get pregnant,” O’Donnell told him.

A source told Us Weekly, “Michelle is seeing a fertility doctor. She is really excited and they cannot wait to add to their family. Rosie goes to all of her doctors’ appointments with her and is really supportive. She isn’t pregnant yet but they hope as soon as possible she will be.”

This prospective bundle of joy would be the first child for the couple and the fifth for Rosie, who has four children from her previous marriage with Kelli Carpenter.

Madonna might already have M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj on the stage with her for her big Super Bowl halftime performance; now comes word that she could also be joined by Cee Lo Green.

According to sources, the singer has asked “The Voice” judge to perform with her at the February 5 show. “The Insider” reports that he’s been flying to New York to rehearse with the pop icon. The sources add that he will contribute his signature flair to some of her classic tunes.

The pairing would make sense given that the new season of “The Voice” premieres right after the Super Bowl next month.

Reps for both performers did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment by press time.

MTV News caught up with the Queen of Pop at her “W.E.” premiere earlier this week in New York, and the singer only had one tease about the Super Bowl gig. “I am not saying ‘Yes,’ and I am not saying ‘No,’ ” she replied when asked whether Minaj and M.I.A. would take the stage with her. She added, “Pom poms. That’s all I can tell you.”

When the singer takes the halftime stage next month, her performance will be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and Madonna’s longtime choreographer and creative director Jamie King. According to reports, the set list for the show will include new single “Give Me All Your Luvin” as well as the Madonna classics “Ray of Light,” “Vogue” and “Music.”

“I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth, and I have seven minutes to take it down so that football field is clean for the second half of the game,” she told ABC News about the performance. “That’s the challenge. How do you do that? I actually wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling, a drum line from the ceiling.”

In addition to her Super Bowl performance, Madonna’s fans are awaiting the release of her next studio album, M.D.N.A., out later this year.
